I ordered my FT-9 and Fubuki directly at the source, being Joe Kwok ! :telephone:

He'll do you a good deal and take care of any technical questions you might have.

He can even put any shaft in i-Mix if you can't find what you're looking for! :beruo:

He's a sponsor here and one of the nicest guys to talk to, and he truly knows his biz!

With that said, can't wait to get on the tee with mine!!!

For those of you who have already "got the shaft" ( ;) ), please post pics so we can discuss any differences in graphics, etc.

Thanks.

Kevin

I got mine today. I'm still at work so I have yet to hit a ball with it. Here are some measurements and observations:

The white is a really nice pearl white color.

All lettering is in silver except for the "Fubuki" which is in black with silver outline

It is a 63 x5ct flex-s, lettered in the same font as on my WB.

The "three diamond" Mitsubishi Rayon logo is larger and in a different font than on my WB. It is also between the grip/gray star section and the black "Fubuki" logo whereas it is the lowest logo towards the tip on my WB.

From the end of the "T" in the "MDT" logo near the tip of the shaft it is 2-7/8" to the top of the furrule of the I-mix adapter and 4-3/4" to the tip of the adapter.

From the gray/white transition it is 16-1/2" to the top of the grip.

Callaway GBB Epic 9° w/ Aldila Rouge Max 65S
Callaway BB 815 3-wood 14° w/ Fujikura Motore Speeder 665X

Thanks for the info, cmusic. So it does apparently have the "MDT" technology? Based on what I've read in this thread, this seems to be one of (or maybe the only) difference between the tour and non-tour versions.

I ordered my shaft Tuesday, but have not yet received shipping info. I'm really looking forward to receiving it.

Would this imix version with its .350 tip and slightly heavier weight play slightly stouter to flex?

I've always been in between regular and stiff flexes, and am not sure if I should get R or S. My usual swingspeed is about 92-95 with smooth transition, with occassional hard rips at 98. If the Fubuki is a very stable shaft that can handle occassional hard swings, then I'd be inclined to simply get the R.

Thanks for your validation Jim! :)

I do my best to get the right order in. FUBUKI tour and FUBUKI only is not the same and they should have $25-35 price separation between the two.

Joe

PS: I can definitely do even better pricing if anyone here order head and shaft together.

What is the pricing?

I'm not that type of guy who post pricing on the internet not knowing exactly the specs and where to ship.

BTW, Why do you need pricing if you work there if i may ask? PM me if you care to enlighten me and share your though.

Any body can email me for pricing, as simple as that!

IMO putting pricing on the internet might put somebody in trouble with the OEM pricing policy, especially if we don't know what we are exactly ordering.

For you guys,

Again serious buyers only please!

That is the bottom line why we create this forum. It's a place to get an unbias info and opinion. I can only share what i know and found out base on what i do every day. Would that makes me 100% correct? Nope ...far from that, but I'm sure i know more than most. And hope I can continue to help as much as i could as long as time permit me to do so.

Do I want business? Hell ya! But at least everything are up front without hidden agenda. ;)

Thanks again!

You don't need to work for Callaway to find out the Fubuki .350 is not a "made for" shaft. A simple call to the MRC will reveal the same. The difference is tip diameter and nothing more.

When I originally posted this information in the thread, in a condescending manner, you demanded facts about Callaway's pricing structure and their marketing strategies if the Fubuki 63 wasn't a "made for" shaft (i.e. "Explain to world" etc.) Then after you discovered the only difference was tip size, you began to advertise special pricing on the once inferior shaft.

I felt as though, as a sponsor and representative of the site, your tone and responses were inappropriate.

My intent was to further convey the fantastic deal in the FT-9/Fubuki combo, just as the original poster was doing.

I asked about price, because I was interested in purchasing this set-up.

Every body here can be the judge after reading all the post from the top. I don't need to defends myself as my present here doesn't have any mislead info.

I've posted MRC answer " its a Callaway proprietary issue and 6 grms heavier than standard 335 tip which I won't be surprise if 335 has different torque rating than 350. And that is FACT!

What is wrong advertising as a sponsor ? Lots of solicitor but not to many mention that.

And I repeat, You can say anything regarding different or no different and that is ok and i respect that...because I understand is a subjective to every individual. Remember I have my own too, Not to forget members have their own to judge too.

Try to twist it anyway you want, members can see it here. Nothing was change!

We all know that internet is full of geniuses, nothing strange about that.

Inappropriate or not is not for you to judge and what make you think that yours is? and what makes you think yours is more appropriate than mine?
