Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your SS? 1" in the driver, 1.5" 3 wood, and that board of a hybrid you still tipped 1"?

Thanks for the comments Paul. I actually matched the 009 to my SB1's lol!

My SS with a driver on the course is probably 115-122ish.. give or take.. I can get it up into the 130's on a LM.. but normally don's swing that hard on the course. My 200 club is usually my 6 iron.

I'm just trying to keep the ball in bounds and not really worried too much about distance as I once was. I've really seen an improvement in my overall consistency and scoring average with upgrading my equipment (believe it or not)

But, I do have a few changes coming this week.. and a new putter

Mini Review:

Driver - Old: Fubuki 73x, New: Matrix Ozik TP6HD

Both shafts are REALLY good. For me the switch to the Matrix was a good move. The shaft is easier to load, and launches a little higher for me with less spin. Performance overall is very similar dispersion between both is very tight. Ballflight and feel goes to the TP6HD.

3 Wood - Old: Fubuki 83x, New: Matrix Ozik HD8 Black Tie

I thought the 83x was one of the best shafts ever in my 3 wood.. but the HD8 is better. The ball flight is really nice, a little higher overall.. much less spin and a more penetrating flight. Hit some amazing shots with this club so far. Much easier to load and the way the shaft feels is really nice. Much less "boardy" feeling than the Fubuki.

Hybrid - Old: Diamana Thump 103x, New: Matrix Ozik Altus X Black Tie

So far it's pretty close.. The Thump is just too good. That said, I don't think I'm losing anything with the Altus. The Altus goes way lower and it's more anti-left than the Thump. The Thump is a little smoother but goes higher and spins more. I'm still working things out w/ the Altus.. but so far it has a more penetrating flight with less spin than the Thump. The Thump is smoother, but spins more and much higher ball flight.

3 rounds with them so far have been: 77, 76, 73.. not bad, most of the credit goes to the Circa though

you're spot on with your review on the shafts man! i find these model of matrix to spin lower, more accurate, feels as great or better than mrc and easier to load than any other shaft i tried. i used to be mrc fan as well til i tried these shafts. great move man with that said i still want to try the ahina

yeah man..i was very surprise with the switch...last time we played you mentioned how much you love the fubuki.

nah man, i still need a couple of yrs under my belt to beat kekoa straight up...once he figures out how to hit a driver then its over...i told him he needs to get a driver with a 10* open face angle

Yeah! Kekoa, get the SDTP 10.5 open it up w/ fade bias in the weights! Done! I do love the Fubuki's still.. the Matrix just have a different way of loading that seems to be a little more forgiving with my swing.

Those pics are on the review thread I started for them.. I guess I can throw a few up on here too. Hmm.. Maybe the F6M2, or HD6 would work.. TP6HD I'd say is the best of all of them, but it's closer to the WB 73 than the 63.

@Rymail: I'd try the TP6HD, just make sure the CPM's are similar or a little less than what you're hitting in your WB63.. I say a little less since the TP6HD will weigh a bit more. It's SO smooth though.. definitely worth trying. F6M2, also nice.

Tai, if you get a chance, try the Matrix hM2 hybrid shaft. It is smoother in feel than the Altus and is heavier, too. I love both of the shafts, but the hM2 feels more stable and allows you to really load the shaft. IMHO, of course...
