I'd love to be in Arizona for the year round golfing weather but we don't have it bad in California either. We have an abundance of good courses for under $50.00. As far as jobs, I suppose it depends on what trade you are into.

Don't know about the jobs, but Palm Beach Gardens, FL has an amazing amount of golf within a few miles.

I know guys that caddy in Jupiter, FL and the names they can drop are amazing.

Quick story... friend of mine was on the range at his club- Ernie Els is a few stalls down, with a pile of new drivers, trying them out. After a few hours of hitting balls, he decided on one. The other 15 or so? Handed them out to whoever was on the range at the time, then spent 30 minutes talking to everyone and signing autographs.

That just doesn't happen where I live!

I say GA, SC and NC area

Not as expensive as West nor FL.

Triangle ares (Raleigh, Durahm) has seen some growth along with Northern part of ATL and upstate SC (Greenville area)

I have been paying $120/month w/o any initiation fee and course is in great shape.

Probably depends on your career path and what kind of job you are looking for, but Myrtle Beach has tons of golf year around, I would say Arizona but it is awful hot there in the summer. California is always an option if you want to deal with the cost of living, traffic and crowed courses. IMO you may want to look at Texas or even Oklahoma, the weather is pretty tolerable most of the year, cost of living decent and they have an abundance of golf courses as well, many of which are affordable. Dont forget FLA either.

Living in The Woodlands area north of Houston im partial to this area. Although I know most people on here probably wont think of Houston as a great golf city, Im sure that anyone who lives here will. Play year round, low cost of living compared to other large cities, and there are at least 25 (probably more) courses within 45min of my house...anywhere from munis to high end clubs. Yes it is HOT and humid in the summer but it never seems to stop people from playing golf!

I'm not too worried I'm going into insurance and risk management so where I work is pretty abundant... as for places... I've been looking at FL, GA, TX,SC and CA...

I'm from Maine and its pretty chill figuratively and literally...
CA and TX... I haven't been to and the other places I've visited...

I'm assuming that CA can be cool cause I can see the snow if i travel a bit north, but I see all the stuff that happens there... Crime... natural disasters... wild fires... high cost of living... and traffic... The Terminator in Politics...

I've lived in AZ and I like to be near the water... well be able to drive and see it...

I'm on the fences with SC, GA and FL....

I guess I'd need more input from others about what its like in those states and which towns are the best place to live and obviously they have to be near some prime golf courses...

I moved to San Diego for the same reason. Weather/ golf/ lifestyle From Seattle where it rains 300 days per year. Now California's job Market sucks so I wouldn't recomend the career path this way but San Diego has mostly affordable golf. Orange county has a horrible selection of affordable golf but a better job market in some fields.

Arizona would be a more affordable place to live and then next I would suggest Texas. Dont know the job market in either but cost of living is a fraction of Southern California.

Have you thought of the gulf coast area? AL, and the panhandle of FL have some nice golf that's not overly crowded. Good weather and much cheaper to live than So Cal. Nothing at all wrong with So Cal, I love it but hate the crowd. Another thought is there are currently some pretty great deals on real estate on the Gulf Coast.

I grew up in SC and lived in Atlanta for 3 years. Now I reside in AL and the golf is better and much cheaper than anywhere I have been in a number of years. Go to rtjgolf.com and look at the numerous trail stops up and down the state. Even better, it is $1500 per year and it includes ALL of the courses all over the state. There were dog tracks in Atl that had no nine hole rate and was $55 on the weekend. The courses are in top shape year round and the variety is second to none! Did you see the Golf World rankings this past year? If not, look it up.

TEXAS!!!

Our Economy is the best in the country abudance of land and golf courses, cheaper gas prices because we have so much OIL on our land, great weather during spring fall and winter, summers can be hard for out of staters.

But don't move down here im tired of people moving to my state thats why we should succeed! lol

San Francisco, hands down...

Weather is a crap shoot but never gets too hot or cold. And the golf is outstanding.. Around the bay area are some of the best golf courses in the country... and the Jobs are readily available assuming that you have a strong working skill set. Really there is no equal. If you took all the requirements you listed it would rank with the highest average score in each category. + your 2 hours from Carmel.
