I've been going back and forth about buying one of these, but I guess that my concerns are gone now that I've heard about the Pro X!

Even if my angles at impact become outrageously automatic (which would be quite nice lol) .. that dangerous-looking sweet spot will keep me in check.

Have you found a Canadian distributor yet? If so, which one..

Ohh and once I get used to hitting it, I'll be able to get one of those filthy diamondback high-COG blades that Scratch just released :partytime2:.

..Blades are fine, but def not used to such a high COG (yet :) ).

I know we sent a bundle of them off to GolfTown. I'm not sure which locations?? If you don't have one local, call them and they'll ship you one and save the duty. Go Leafs!!!

Ordered a TS pro the other day. 1.25" over and 2 deg up like my clubs. Cool that they do that. Looking forward to seeing if this will help my swing.

Let me know how you do with it! Thanks for buying one.

Advice on which model to purchase. I started playing 4 years ago and am still a high handicap though I take a lesson (range and playing) each week during the season. Average drives are about 225 and average 7 iron is 140 and 5 iron is 150+. Right now I am a 'clean' ball striker where I leave no divot at all or the divot starts right under the ball, Any help is appreciated.

Go with the TSP 7 iron. It's challenging, but you'll get the hang of it. Thanks for the inquiry.

After reading this thread I just ordered a TS pro. One of my goals for this year is to become a "teen" handicap. I am currently 26. Its tough to find training aids that provide immediate feedback. I think this product will work for me, or will at least help me mow the grass at the range. I will let you all know how it went.

Hey thanks for the quick reply.. it's awesome to see such dedication to one's own product!

Just another question, what is the exact length of the TSPX? I heard it ran a lil long and I wanna make sure to order one that matches my own 7i.

Also, what are the grips on them and can I contact support to put a GPND on them if I dont like the grips?

Thanks a lot!

The standard length is 37". The grip is a basic crossline version. It is a training club, so I HOPE you wear out the grip quickly and need to change it;)

If you like to hit balls and don't mind a challenge: TS Pro 7 X

Thanks for the interest!

Have fun with it!

The sweet spot is centered between the hosel and the toe. There is so much "toe" removed that it really makes it look like the striking surface is toe-ish.

After a lengthy range session, I can honestly say it was not as bad as I had anticipated, just a tad longer than my 7i.
Could be beginner's luck but I will keep plugging;)

Thanks Martin

What's lucky about it?? You obviously have skills. Just keep practicing and you'll start to see a change in how you deliver the club. Some guys get it quicker than other, but you'll get it.

Keep working on getting the elevated leading edge as close to the ground as you can (without putting the ball back) and you'll start to feel the lag delivered by your pivot.

Cheers,

MC

I ordered my Ts Pro 7X yesterday. I went back and forth about whether to get the Ts Pro 7X or the TSP 7. I ended up deciding on the Ts Pro 7X because I do not care how dumb I look on the range. And my hope is that the club will promote some good habits. Hopefully this club will improve my impact position and ball striking.

I ordered the TS Pro 7i. I had not hit balls in a few weeks and I knew my iron game was going to take a while to warm up. I started hitting punch shots and after a few worm burners i got the ball into the air. I am very excited to see that i could actually hit down on the ball. The TS pro 7i is definitely going to accompany me to the range every time. It stinks to hit some terrible shots but once you get it going the ball launching off your regular irons is amazing.

I know this was addressed in previous 13 pages...but...if we needed to re-shaft the TPS pro 7i what would the specs be?

thank you so much for this product. I am sure that it will shave strokes off my score and even though i am not practicing as much as i had in years past i felt completely different with one range session.

To those thinking about it...get the pro version. It will hurt your ego to hit terrible shots but keep your head down and take dead aim. the perfect shot is out there for all of us

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like the training club. The shaft size is .370 parallel tip if you choose to shaft it with something else. Take care and keep me posted on your progress. I'm here to help if you need it.

Looked but couldn't find the answer, can the TSP be bent on a regular loft/lie machine to change the lie angle?
No, you need a machine that has the back stop used for bending hybrids and woods. The regular "iron" machine won't hold the face in place. Most decent repair shops have one nowadays. Sorry!

I'm finding that even if I can't get in the groove with my TSP, I'm still able to hit good shots with my irons. I think the concept that is drilled into my head is half the battle. For obvious reasons, hitting the TSP can be a challenge over hitting a normal club. This is a great training aid!
Shaun, send me a video. Happy to take a look.

Can you hit half shots with the TSP and then duplicate the feel with your club? Or, is it all shots.

Cheers,

MC

On this page the TSP7 comes with either no shaft designation or a regular. Is the non-designated model listed here stiff shafted? The text says one thing, but the product title does not agree. TIA!

I did not see it mentioned here in the few posts I scanned, so I thought I would mention it...... if you hit off of mats, you may want to either find a grass range, or avoid the club. The club was not designed to be hit off mats, since it promotes, having to hit down on the ball.

All in all a great training aide though.

Really? :( I guess that crosses this off my list. Not many grass tee ranges that are easily accessible in my area. Thanks for the warning.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have the web guy fix that. The "no designation" is actually a stiff shaft. When you are in the forest, it's hard to see the trees sometimes.

The downward piece of the puzzle is only 4*. Mats work fine for practicing. Soft mats do allow guys to cheat as do fluffy turf or long grass. I actually like hitting off mats as I focus on my forward lean while having limited 4* of downward strike.

I don't want guys taking "Pork Chop" divots. The forward lean is really the important part of the training club and if you do it right, you have shallow, "bacon strip" divots. I want you to have a shallow attack with forward lean; that's the sign of an awesome striker!

Being in the Northeast this training tool looks like a great thing to hit off mats now that we will be limited to them during the cold months.

I do have a question about shaft flex. Can I order one with a X stiff shaft?
I play KBS 6.5's in my irons. I don't care if the shafts match, just want the flex in the same ballpark.

Thanks,

I think this will be my Christmas present to myself. Like others, I want to use it with the Pure Ball Striker, which I already have and which has helped me. But first there are a few things I would like to know from those who practice with it, and from Martin himself, if possible:

- Are you supposed to take your usual address position (given that it is more or less correct) and work on your dynamics with this club, or do you all address the ball with the hands far forward when using the Tour Striker?
My normal address position at the moment is with a slight forward shaft lean, hands are opposite the ball with medium irons.

- Martin mentioned that experienced flippers can cheat the Tour Striker. Now, I would certainly call myself that (experienced flipper). What would one have to be aware of, so that there is no cheating?

- Did those of you who have used it for a longer period of time have to adjust something else in your swing?
Here is what I see as a danger: My flip does not only add loft, it also squares the clubface. I use shafts in my irons that, according to general knowledge and naked numbers, should be too stiff for me. But they work, and my good shots are high and straight. What I want to improve, though, is the consistency of the strike and the length of my iron shots. I feel that in order to this, I have to get rid of the current fault, which is an early release, combined with the well-timed (and sometimes not so well-timed) flip as a compensation.
I wonder what the side effects could be. Should I be prepared to hit low slices all the time at first? Or could I have to get different shafts, when my swing developes the correct sequence, but becomes (perhaps) slower?

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.
