if you lost everything

I went through all my gear the other day and worked out if I lost it all and without insurance it would cost me $3600.00 to replace new retail.

That's everything, shoes, raingear, etc..... you get the drift

What would it cost you??

Not as bad for me...seeing how almost all my clubs are oldish and well used...I'm going with about $600 just for my clubs if I got them all on ebay in a similar condition. With all my gear though, it can't add much more than 100-150 bucks. Maybe I should go get new clubs now that I'm thinking of it... :drinks: ;) :)

kinda interesting this thread was brought up. Today i went to the course to play and pick up some rain pants, hat, umbrella, and windshirt that i left in my buddies car when i caddied for him in a tourney the other day. yesterday i played and left it in the cart barn (where the ppl put it originally) to pick it up after i played. I forgot to pick it up but knew it would be there today. Well everything was missing except the umbrella (which was moved.) Some tool took my windshirt, pants, and waterproof hat! Thats around 200 dollars worth of crap! i cant believe people are big enough dirtbags to steal someone els's s***. i looked everywhere and will do the same tmm. id love to catch the person who took it but it prob wont happen

It isn't so much what I gave as what my bag is worth. I'd have a hard time replacing the irons (TS-202s) fairway woods (TM Tour Smoothies, 4 and 7) the old Scratch raw wedges, 53 and 58, and the Gauge Whitlam Tour non-stamped putter. It isn't that the overall cost would be that much, it's that these clubs fit my style, fit my swing, fit my game, and that would be impossible to duplicate.

I had to replace everything in March, when my bag was tolen out of my hotel room in Myrtle Beach. Of course, I was on a golf trip, so I had ALL my stuff. I spent about $3,300 to replace it all, and that was with several very good deals from sympathetic store owners.

Right around 2K here, but the psychological angst of second guessing every aspect of a bag I thought was almost completely set would be awful.

Well, all of my clubs are discontinued (except for the 905S, but it'll be discontinued soon enough) so...probably not that much. Some clubs, like the Trimetal, Retro Raylor, TA1's, Studio Stainless, and even my Ping Bag are especially old.

Nike Split Cavity and Full Cavity Protos, Slingshot Tours, SQ Tour, SQ MAX, couple of Diamana's, sets of Project X, Black Gold and Tour Concept endless wedges and 4 Cammys including a proto Newport Beach Center shaft..........I would go jump off a bridge if all my stuff was gone tomorow!

i obviously don't carry all my wedges with me nor my extra drivers etc so i would only lose: $1300 in my bag and $1400 including bag.

FWs (all 3, although only 2 are currently in the bag): $200

 

hybrids (haven't arrived chez moi yet, but they cost around $50 on ebay): $50

wedges: $100

 

Putters: $80 (2 of them)

 

Rain gear, ball retriver, umbrealla, golf balls, headcovers, tees, markers, and other paraphenalia, and the bag itself: $200

 

Total: $1050- ouch!

It would be a lot of work to replace my current set, nothing special but all have been customized for me. This is one of the reasons I have and play a back up set once a month.Round numbers, depending on which putter and driver is in the bag 2800-3800. :drinks:

Here is my PSA,,as a Police Officer I have taken too many reports of golf club thefts. Please dont keep them in the garage,leave them in ur car overnite, or leave them unatteneded at the clubhouse. U wouldnt leave $3000 in cash out by itself would you? Its sad to see grown men cry when there bags are stolen. I would lose about $2800,,and I would probably cry for being so stupid :drinks:

Funny I never really think about leaving them at the bag drop.. It would be way too easy to have someone just walk by and snach my $400 driver or the whole bag... Good advice; now can you help me with that ticket I got on Preston Rd. @ park? haha

Golf is still probably my "cheapest" hobby, I haven't invested that much in it. I'd be looking at < $900 to replace the full bag, some rain gear and shoes in it (retail price, not ebay). Now, don't even get me started on music gear or racing bicycles! :drinks:
