Well if it was ALL my golf stuff, including things like hats, umbrellas, balls, unused clubs, etc. it would be around $2,500 retail. But with ebay and by buying different things (and less things) I could easily re-equip with $1,300 to $2,000.

My biggest fear is a house fire....I've got WAYYYYY more gear in my secret basement storage room than in my bag so if I lost it all.....easily $5000+ to replace....Holy crap....I'm building a bunker in my backyard!!!

Going back to the PSA message. I took my son to a soccer tournament down south. A few of the other fathers and I decide to play an afternoon round of golf so we bring our clubs. We put our bags at the bag drop and go to park the car. 2 of us stay with the bags while the other 2 go to park the car. All 4 of us are good players and we have better then average clubs. One guy has a brand bag of Callaways, everything from driver to wedges and a 2 ball putter. As we are walking on the putting green 2 young punks in a VW Jetta pull up and grab the Callaway bag and start to take off. We start yelling and thankfully the other guys hear. They block the exit and we get our bag back and have the 2 arrested. (One of the Dads played tackle for the Penn State Football team, real Big Dude). They were 2 college kids that were actually on their schools golf team.....

Needless to say never think your gear is safe at a muni or resort course.

It would probably cost a bit less than $2k. Of course that does not include pain and suffering waiting for the clubs to arrive, and not being able to play.

Roughly, $2500. I'd be sick if my putters and driver were gone, but the rest could leave. I have my sticks as part of my home owner's insurance, but I'd have to meet a $500 deductable.

It's a coincidence that this topic came up. Just yesterday, I was looking into homeowner's insurance, and my golf equipment was one of the things I put a value on. The rough retail replacement cost is about $1200 each for both me and my wife. I didn't realize she had as "nice" a set of clubs as I did! Haha...

a little over a 1,000 bucks. I don't want to think about this topic again. I always keep my eye on my clubs, when I lost my 7 iron last week I first looked in the car, looked in the basement, called the course, if it wasn't there I was gonna call the police!(jk) I know the NDS aren't the most exspencive irons but they were my first major brand iron set and they are all I have!!

Almost $3400. Had my bag stolen a couple months ago.

Talk to your insurance agent. Get what is called a Personal Articles Policy (Inland Marine Policy). You can schedule your clubs (use a blanket amount for the rest of you Ho's). This is a replacement cost policy (for those of you with priceless items!) and can be written without a deductible. If you have any questions PM me I'm an agent (won't mention the company but we're a good neighbor).

It saved my butt. And contrary to what some sick people may think replacing everything in your bag isn't fun, even for a club ho with an insurance settlement.
