I've been a F1 fan for 10+ years and was never thrilled with the race at Indy, so I never went. I was ecstatic when I found out they were building a purpose built track. I've been following the construction and its been looking great. I'm a big Webber and Button fan, and i hate both their teammates. We also get Kimi back this year.

LOL, I game PING eye 2 beryllium copper irons, G20 driver, i15-3w and a plethora of putters. Right now it is a Redwood Anser with some custom work.

Not yet MN. He will be entering qualifiers for the Open, the AM, the Jr Am & the pub links this year. His first USGA was qualifying for the Junior Am last year.

So what the deal with Stratton playing a DI 6s in the 3 wood? Usually I see players with the 7s or 8s in the 3 wood? Anything specific that he likes about the lighter weight?

Good catch MDaddy....his 3w & 5w are both [u]DI 8's[/u]......MY BAD, his Driver was a DI 6 S. Carried away with cut & paste. I will make the correction.

Question on the NO1 grip...Did you have it custom made? Because on their website all the purple grips have PINK accents?! Now they DO have a WHITE with purple, but i want this one! Thanks!

Wow, he has such a great swing! Your boy has a bright future, you've done a great job! Love the clubs as well. What is Stratton's practice regimen like in the colder months? Does he play much or take a break from it all?

All I can make him take off is about a week or two. He literally starts going stir crazy if he cant go out and hit balls or practice. I made him take off 10 days this winter and by the end I finally gave in. I wanted him to take off over a couple of weeks but he wants none of it.

I haven't done much other than support what he is doing. HE is the one that does the work and to boot, he is absolutely great kid off the course. A lot of people say how "lucky" he is for this or for that, but I know that he deserves everything he has. Whether he lives out his dream or not, who knows. I do know he is driven like nobody I have ever seen, and I will support him in every way that I can for him to live that out.

Ahh gotcha! Fooled me! What are his practice sessions like? Just curious...like order of clubs and just how he works on the range..So I guess, when he goes to the home course for a practice day, what does he do? Just thought it would be fun to know...

If you have this done, you WILL most definitely be able to tell the difference. It only takes minutes to do.
Cut 3 pieces of tape, 1.5", 2.5" & 3.5" and one full piece of grip tape.
Measure where the bottom of the grip will be on the shaft. Hold your thumb there.
Apply the 1.5" piece touching your thumb.
Apply the 2.5" piece over that rotating the seam to the opposite side of the shaft
Apply the 3.5" piece over that rotating the seam to the opposite side of the shaft
Apply the full piece of grip tape rotating the seam to the opposite side of the shaft
Install the grip
As long as it took me to type that is how long it takes

Standard tape on Driver, FWs, Hybrids and Irons. Only his putter (3 wraps top to bottom) and his wedges are taped off spec.

thanks for posing the info on the reverse taper for the wedges
recently switched to a Super Stokre ulta slim and its the same way

gripped up my new irons last night and also did the PW, 54 & 60 w the reverse taper, like you posted earlier
