Here is a sneak peek........Once we return from his AJGA event, we will get some quality shots on course with a new idea for displaying his bag.......

His sticks are a little dirty here. Just off the range this afternoon before traveling tomorrow to his event.

I magnetized the putter cover to eliminate the velcro PITA noise

Need to get some better putter pics. I did a burned type fade theme. Used translucent orange and faded a translucent smoke over the orange. Looks like it was hot!

WOW, that is one of the best looking putters I've seen. Great job on that! Just curious, did Westlake ever play in any tournaments with Robert E. Lee High School from Tyler? I played there 2 years ago and can't remember if ya'll were in a tourney with us or not. We went to State in 2010, my senior year so ya'll would have been there with us.

Yes, I think you guys were paired with Westlake the first day that year. I believe you were in the Bart Granger the same year. I am trying to remember, did Logan Philey play there? I know he had Robert E Lee on his bag.

Uh oh, I see an Anser wedge... 56 too? I love my Tour-S wedges right now.

He switched to the Anser wedges just before they came out. He timed it at PING perfect when they were just getting them out. He likes the softer feel a bit better than the Tour-S wedges He still games the 47 in the Tour S though.

What shafts is he using now if he changed? I'm suprised that the PING shafts fit him well with his power.

No, Philey must have played for a different Lee. Our top players were some guys named Greyden Blevins, Will Deshazo, Chapman Herwood, and Austin King.

He had a good District tournament individually. Teamwise, not so great, once again finishing second as a team which he is NOT happy about. Stratt played solid both days. 1 under 71 day one with two bogies and a triple on the easiest three hole stretch on the course. Day two, solid, 4 under 68 with his only bogey coming when he laid up on a par 5. The ball looked like it hit a yardage marker in the center of the fairway and went 60yds after landing into the hazard in front of the green. All in all, solid play. (Course is 6914 yds, 73.8 rating with a slope of 124)

 

 

 

 

 

 

The scores shows that Stratton is clearly the best golfer out there. Westlake is going to miss him when he leaves for college.

I just could not get dialed in and warmed up at that tournament. I played bad both days but carded 1 birdie both days.

That's just his personal logo I think.. You know, like Hunter Mahan's little hm or Tiger's TW.

I like Strattons better than either of theirs too..

Just noticed that, that's crazy for a 5-A school in TX.. Whoa, average of 8.33333333 per hole to shoot a 150... What in the world..

Gotta feel for those kids. In their defense, they are just playing golf to get out of school those days. The school in which they attend does not support golf. I tip my cap to them for coming out and giving it a go. I would be willing to bet that could be the second or third time they ever picked up clubs.

NewG is correct. Those are Stratton's initials. His SN logo. Though not many people see the N and only see the S. Tilt your head 45 degrees right and you will see the N

 

 

He has it on belt buckles and his towel.

I will show some pics. Something I should have marketed. I can change your velcro headcover to a magnetized cover in seconds and it looks manufactured that way. Could have been a decent marketing tool as well. Now that so many covers are magnetized it is not such a great idea. 5 years ago when I came up with it, I should have done something with it though :)

Looking at his Tour-S wedges on page 1 makes me regret getting my Tour-S in rustique instead of SS, but oh well. This is by far the coolest bag on wrx.

My father passed away when I was eleven, and I started playing when I was 13 with his old clubs (although I never saw him play). Every time I see this thread I think of how lucky Stratton is to have an awesome dad like yourself!
