New 2007 Mizuno MP-67 Prototype Pics!

Sweet looking sticks. I assume the COG is higher with teh weight taken fromt eh lower portion of the cavity, producing a lower ballflight, more true blade like. With the placement of the cut muscle, I wonder if it will feel weird, with less meat behind the sweetspot.

Thats what i was thinking, the opposite of the MP-32. trying to raise the CG. Also, the PW looks really round.

Think of the options you could have for a combo set now with the different the most recent irons Mizuno has put on the market..........................32's, 60's, mx900, and now the 67's. I have probably left some out but throw out your ideas for a combo set with the Mizuno irons.

I am stoked about being a part of the golfwrx family :idhitit:

I hit the demo 6 iron mp67 testerday. I found that it was similar to the mp 33 but at bit more forgiving. Trajectory was more precise, not as ballooning as my 32s. I was dissapointed b/c the demo club was 1" long so I couldn't get precise feel due to choking up. Overall if I could hit a standard length demo I would pull the trigger, but keep my 32's for a while. :cheesy: :D

did you find 67 was easier to hit than 32?

I wonder how many more models Mizuno will "ride" the cut muscle concept. If it is like the T-Zoid, I think they got 4 models out of the concept. Sure got a lot of mileage out of the good press the MP-32s generated. I got a set the other day and it is real close to the original MP-32s with maybe the 67s being ever so slightly softer.

  • 3 months later...

My first time to Mizuno's and i got a set of the MP-67's woth the Aldila Stiff graphite shafts. Was playing Titlesit 735's prior to these. I tried the MP-60 but they had no where the soft feel the MP-67's have. I would say I would consider mixing the MP-60 in the set with the 3-6 iron just for forgiveness. The ball flight with the Mp-67 is quite penetrating, I do fell I hit them a couple of yards shorter but I love the looks of them and especially for chipping around the greens. Going to hold onto to them and give them a serious try.

  • 2 years later...

does anybody else that plays 67's feel like the stock mizuno golf pride grips feel a little thinner than normal??

if i compare my wedges which i recently regriped with .600 multil compounds and then grab a 67... the 67's feel a tad smaller/thinner

i was planning on changing grips out anyway before the season really starts after deciding whether or not to chop them down 1/4 inch but just wondering if others have the same experience
