New 2007 Mizuno MP-67 Prototype Pics!

Any word on whether this will replace the MP33's? If so, I'm going to be severly bummed.

Great looking iron, but I'm not convinced that small of a 'cut' in the back will do much to the iron's performance. I'm a devoted player of Miz irons, but I'm not sold on the benefits of a cut in a true blade.

Anyone with me or am I crazy?

I would agree, the cut is really low and its very small, i'm sure there is some benefit, but its not really creating much of a perimiter weight distribution. To me the mp32 is the ultimate blade like club with the benefit of the CutMuscle. I guess well have to wait and see. I think this will replace the mp37, not the 32, I think the 32s will be around atleast one more year, i'm planning on picking up another set of 32s probably this winter or next spring.

I saw and hit these yesterday, wonderful irons! They set up beautifully and hit as soft as butter. I think I'm going to stay with my mp 60's just for the extra forgiveness. But great clubs! The thing I was interested in was the mp fli-hi. This thing is awesome! Looks like an mp 60 iron just thicker. Comes in 2, 3, and 4 iron. Def thinking of putting a 2 iron of one of these in the bag!

"I think they want the guys who won't change out of their mp33s "

Guilty as charged. But I'm weird, I hit the MP-33's too low. This spring I actually got a set of 23's to try and get the ball a little higher. But I hit the MX-23's EVEN LOWER than the MP-33's. Go figure!

Maybe the Dynalite Gold S300 in the MX-23's is too light for me. (DG S300 in the 33's)

Had a Mizuno Demo day at the store today and Our Local Fitting rep From Mizuno came by with all the new toys (Thanks Johnny.) I got a chance to hit the new Mp-67, Fli-Hi hybrid (with full titanium Crown,) and the TOUR GRIND round model wedges in Nikle finish =). As most can see I have alot of nike clubs in my bag, after today I think acouple of mizunos will find its way in.

hands down the Mp-67 have to be the most forgiving blade style irons I have ever hit. FYI you can order the new items from any authorized retailers or mizuno as I sold a set of MX-25's which are slated for a late october release.

I should of taken some photos.....

My first post!

Great pictures, thank you.

Despite the comments above, these soles look as wide as the 32s from the picture, and not as narrow as my 33s - do we have any more detail on the 33 vs. 32 sole as regards to the new iron ie. which is it closer to? Also, the offset looks more like the 33s (more) rather than the 32s (less) - anyone know the offset details on the short irons?

Thanks.

i just got home from hitting these. all i am going to say is that they are BUTTER!!!!!!!!!! never have i hit a club that felt SO GOOD to hit. neither my MP 29's, or MP 37's can compare. i know that is a bold statement.

what the guy at the shop had from Mizuno were:

MP 67: 5, and 8 Iron with TT DG S300 shafts with standard loft, and lie.

if this week wasn't "pay my bills week" i would have ordered my set today, but i guess i can wait two weeks to order my set :cheesy:

They do look nice. Always had a soft spot for Mizunos. 4 sets in my time. Have to disagree about them being the best balde ever though. The Euro-spec TP-9 gets my vote. I had two sets in my teens and loved them..

beautiful.. i'm really llooking forward to hitting them.

eeeeeeeeeeeasy u are outta control right now.

these OEM's are hookin u up.. hope this trend continues!!!

It is streaky. We get a ton then slow a while. The OEM's seem to like what we are doing here onviously. Spin free and fair well rounded representation.

I have to say there isnt one OEM I have met that were snobish or cold. All of them seem excited about What we seem to have here. We should all be proud of that.
