Kevin's caddy, Mike, let me take photos of his book this morning. The photos are uploaded and will be in a separate thread when Ben gets a chance to move them over to the main forum.

I just got a chance to look at both books. I was struck, in particular, by the difference between the two on hole #12. Kevin has almost no notes about anything. Mike's notes include the admonition "Middle! Discipline!" as well as break lines for putts to potential hole locations. It's almost like Kevin just didn't want to have to contemplate how to play 12. Or maybe he had it down pat.

What a great resource. Thank you.

every course should have a yardage book like that available.
that's information design.

They are available for basically every course that hosts a PGA Tour event, as well as many that host SR TOUR of LPGA events.

The best books are done by Gorjus George Lucas and his books have a lot more detail than the book the Masters produces.

If you are interested they can be bought here: http://www.tpkgolf.c...dage-books.html

And here: http://www.strackali...ome/default.asp

GG's books are the best there is.

PS...the Masters misspelled Streelman's name on his leather cover!

How so? Looks correct to me.

You know what, you are right. That last 'a' looked like an 'e' to but on closer inspection clearly it is not!

It's really hard work and tough job on the tour. This is not the most detailed yardage book I have seem. Some pro kept all the yardage from the all the times they played, even with marking of specific clubs they have used and where the wind was blowing and a particular bare-out area.

I admire the tour players, but, the hard work they have to put in is proportional to the eventual success.

I am sure RoyM didn't have the cabinet distance marked on #10!

Thanks for sharing!

I'm sure Kevin will do the same but this was his 1st Masters.

Thank you for sharing this yardage book...I'm impressed with how well it's marked.

Also, since I hear on the telecasts so many converstations between player and caddie about + yardage or - yardage, I can now see that they're calculating the club needed for pin placement on the greens as the yardage given is too the front of the greens, something most courses I play don't do anymore, they measure to the middle. Th 5 yd increments on the greens were also quite impressive to see...some pretty big greens when looking at it this way too.
