MP-100

With Road Runner
Beautiful Irons priced at $1999.99 They come with a glass fronted display case that has magnetic catches. The authenticity certificate is contained in the case. No 2 iron available and 2006 sets worldwide. A little MP-33ish, I was hoping more MP-29ish.

I must say while not objectionable I don't understand the need for the bird. The block M always was more representative of Mizuno golf to me (just like the Nike swoosh is with Nike). The bird I always associate with baseball, volleyball, track etc. not golf.

Exactly!

Who is the genius that came up with that one? :help: The 'M' is grand. Why didn't they ask me first? I work nearby?

Keep the Bird on apparel and baseball gloves not golf clubs. :wave:

Here is a picture of the MP-100s complete with Road Runner on the sole. Nice looking but how many are being made may be the deal breaker for me. (500 or less I'm in--might mean hand selected head weights, 1500 or more I'm out--might mean lead plugs galore) :wave: A little MP-33ish, I was hoping more MP-29ish. One guy said to me since the MP-33s aren't going to be available through the custom orders anymore maybe this is the way they use the remaining heads up. :help:

DAMN! SWEET looking irons. I just love iron sets... just love 'em .

the logo is called the "Runbird" and it will be on all the new mizuno equipment. mizuno japan wants that logo to be the main logo, like the swoosh.

When are these babies coming out?

They're already available but in very limited quantities and only by special order from what I understand. Damnorcross is correct, the runbird logo was meant to standardize the Mizuno brand across the product lines. Expect it on anything new coming from them in the future.

Do you know when the MX-25s will be available?

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
- Lord Tennyson

Was present when the Mizuno rep. showed his whole line up. He had a whole set of the 67s and they looked good and more like a set of 33s with a slight cut in the back. The round wedges looked equally good (one could interpret them as very very wide soles but like the X-Tour soles they are back cut so the width has no impact during a normal swing). I didn't pay any attention to the fli(s) his but the 25s looked like a nice replacement for the 23s. No drivers or fairways (which is smart). Now for the updated news on the MP-100s. Seems the $999.99 that I was billed will be just a down payment (later returned due to availability date). He said they will be around 500 sets done totally for the U.S. (didn't know how many worldwide), must be custom ordered from Japan (thank goodness they won't be built in GA, indication they will be hand ground by their asian tour staff some of which trained under the gentleman that used to do Faldo's MP-29s), and will retail for well over $2000+ (orders are being taken now until the allocations run out). That should test the true Mizuno fan. Finding out how many and where they will be built I told him to continue with my order. Even though they are shown as available in November he doubts any will be here before December.

I talked to my dealer regarding these MP-100, he was told that 2006 sets would be made, not 500. Not sure whose right, but 2006 would be believeable.

Really nothing more than Collector's Edition MP-33's, but you can bet these will be sold at a super premium price...

hi, when i called Mizuno USA today to find out about different shafts options for the new MP 67's, the guys and i got talking about these, and he did tell me that there will be 2006 sets made, but with only 500 or so coming over here to the US. when it came to price as is normal he said that he couldn't disclose to me and to check with my dealer, but with alittle proding he did say that it would be upwards of $2000.

No reason to believe the production quality will be any different just because the heads have different stampings. :cheesy:

I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago at the main Mizuno store, 8 floors...you can get one of several types of MP 33's or MP 37's and order them there in the store, 4-5 week delivery -- with satin or chrome and a list of stamp options. For about $1,500 2-PW. Good price!
