hahaha I love it! Perhaps I could use more forgiving equipment but I was custom fit for the equipment in my bag so as far I am concerned improvement is going to come from practice! Wealthy hmm perhaps, I would say well connected, I used to work in a golf shop so I made some friends Ernie is one of my hero's so you got that right as for the last bit, yes yes yes! Good player going the forgiving route but only with the long clubs, I wouldnt say you battle tremendously with the longer clubs but just looking for that consistent high straight shot. Irons lead me to believe you are a player, along with the putter i'd say a feel player. People looking at your bag at first glance might think you are easy game but on closer inspection realise you have some game...

Seeing as how Jonesy and I play the same driver and 3 metal, along with the same ball, I feel confident that in saying he must be a strapping young lad, at the height of physical perfection, with a golf game which is the envy of all those who encounter him. He chose s300's over x100's just to make others feel more confident around him. He is...the most interesting man in the world...

See, that's the problem witih WRX. If you were in a weekend game with me I'd assume a 70's shooter because that's the kind of bag they carry, but here the low digits have bags that half the PGA pros couldn't play, and it does look like you put that bag together from reading threads about gear. lol.

Exactly, my good friend who played in the US AM uses Taylor Made Tour Preferreds (circa 2008). Not the most forgiving clubs out there, but certainly not Mizzy blades either. I saw him give 18 shots to the another young guy at our club bagging Miura Blades and a TM Superdeep, and proceed to beat the pants off him.

Let me give you gamblers another tip out there, if you see a guy with a well worn putter grip who isn't a twice a year player, RUN the other direction. Or at least keep the game to a $1 Nassau.

I find that the 2 HCs often have the bags that the 12s should have and visa versa. I used to be surprised when the guy the Cally X-16s was 10 shots better than the guy with the Mizuno MP-9s, but not anymore. Especially once they get a little older, I've played with a bunch of guys who are 3 HCs or below who are over 40, and not a single one of them plays clubs that are considered difficult to hit.

Just a little off

More like half off , I shoot in the mid-80's, I guess you could say I'm inconsistent. Out of 10 games, 6 will be in the mid-80's, 3 in the low-90's, and 1 in the high to low-70's. I can be on fire through a 4 or 5 hole stretch with a -1 or -2 then hit a +3. I don't take mulligans, my philosophy is you don't get a redo in hockey or Football why should you in golf. I consider myself average I play for the fun of it. It's a great sport and I love it, wanna have a great day? Grab my buddies and play 18 bright and early in the morning. We get competitive but I don't plan on ever entering a tournament anytime soon. I'm still trying to be consistent as a golfer, I just started playing earlier this year and haven't found everything that works for me but I think I'm getting close

I judge people all the time off of their bags. Just this past week there was a guy at the range with a full set of Titleist 910's and AP1 710's. Most of it looked brand new. Instantly knew he was a bad golfer and as soon as he "hit" a ball, I could tell I was right. There's nothing wrong with judging as long as you don't make the person feel like an a**. Their money, so good for them. How about you guys have a go with my bag.

Maybe we should list shoes. A friend of mine that is an ex-PGA Pro plays in worn out Birkenstocks or barefoot. His swing is smooth as glass and he isn't that long but he never misses his target by much. He'll take your money all day long. He says, "Be ware of the golfer with dirty shoes and a good tan"! Also be ware a woman that carries alignment sticks. I noticed this the other day at the range, then after watching her hit a few I knew she was a player. Turns out it was Mhari McKay who was a pretty good LPGA player about 4+ years ago prior to having her first child.

I play baby blue iomics on my ap2s and will on my driver and I suck. I love to tell people I'm a plus 8 and then shoot a 96...from the forward tees. I also wear J. lindbergh clothing and buy all top of line stuff just to show how cool I am

I play Mizuno MP68s but occasionally wish I had some K-Mart specials. I shot 6 over par last year and all of those strokes came on the 3 of the par 3s. I chunked it twice and felt it must be because of the tee as I had hit it great all day off of the turf. So I proceed to place the ball on the ground on the last par 3 only to skull it into the desert. I know it is a mental thing as I miss hit too many irons on par 3s. I have been told I have a great smooth swing and hover around a 4 hdcp but some days my misses make me feel like a 40 hdcp. I have been known to get the shanks on occasion too. So, carrying a player iron makes me feel like I have to live up to something more than I am at times.
