The '71 Dynapower (buttonback) SW is the only club in the whole series which doesn't have "Dynapower" stamped on it.

The PING Eye 2 SW made it's impact with the Majors won by Tway, Calcavecchia and Azinger.
Of course, Phil Mickelson revived that controversy a short time ago.

Attaching his name to those Cobra "Trusty Rusty" SWs was the best thing that happened to Phil Rodgers.

And Hoganistas will swear by the "Sure Out" "Fifty three" and those KGrinds.




After spending an afternoon with Azinger right before he was named captain of the Ryder Cup team a couple of years ago, I put a ping
Eye 2 l wedge in my bag. He still uses one , or a disguised version. He told me that club won the tournament ( playoff with Norman)

There was a se of cobra Norman forged wedges that were awesome. Also, Tad Moore forged wedges with "u" grooves, 53, 57, 61 combo was awesome! Wish i still had that 61.

Probably has been said but the Eye 2 LW is great I just regripped and shortened one to standard because there was a BIG shaft extension from when I picked it up for 4 bucks at a yard sale.

1950s wedges are rarely seen and don't get much love but the Spalding Kroflite and the Wilson Dynaweight are great wedges, nice weight and balance. Also there is none of that pesky chrome plating to wear oof and dsifigure. Stainless steel, very soft, was commonplace then and polishes up to a mirror finish.

There is a Golfcraft Joe Kirkwood sandwedge in there as well which some may like to see.
