Yeah so that is a total bust I called the place since I had to drive across town to get there. The store worker was a total D head on the phone they have them in stock but are only putting one or two bottles on the shelves at random times and if you happen to swing by and they are on the shelve you can get one. Cool in the sense it prevents hording but sorry I am not driving all that way multiple times per day to hope I get lucky and time it right. Dude was yelling at me on the phone like did you not read the FB post, I did and it was no where close to being clear that that was what they are doing. I kinda gave him a pass since the phones were probably ringing off the hook, I drove out there anyways since it is closer to work than home, not one phone call or one bottle of BC on the shelve in the 20 min or so I was there.

Picked up two more bottles of Dragons Milk, along with a bottle of Hardywood Sidamo Coffee Stout, which I'm really looking forward to trying.

Sitting on some good recent hauls - the under the radar one here is the Half Acre Senita, very solid IPA

So I was a lucky lucky guy tonight especially for us west coast guys. I downloaded the Taphunter app to my phone and was adding bars close to my place to get updated when decent beer comes in. Low an behold I am looking at the tap list of a place by Grayhawk and close to home and I see the mythical Goose Island Bourbon County Stout on tap a few blocks from home. I assume they have not updated taphunter and no way it is still there, but stop by after work anyways to check it out.

3 Bourbon County Stouts later I can confirm this beer well worth the hype and ratings it gets. I am only bummed at the fact I am not sure when I will ever get the chance to try it again because no beer no matter how good is worth waiting in line for.

Same here - on a business trip in Vegas and someone belonged to Southern Highlands GC so naturally we play and bourbon county is on tap. I know it's only 8 in the morning but it was good.

I think it is so much better on tap. I was in kalamazoo for work and the hotel bar had a goose island dinner pairing. Me and a Co worker were sitting at the bar and notice a handle with the logo. Ask the bartender if it really is that and she says no and smiles. Comes back with two pints and says no charge. Threw a 20 down to say thanks and they kept coming all night.

Was it the Radison on the plaza? The Burdick's sports bar there is awesome. The last time I was there they had Dogfish 120 min on tap and were only charging $6 a pint! Needless to say I had three and barely stumbled out of there. Supposedly we went to Bell's afterward but I don't remember that at all, lol.

Really, where did you find it? I haven’t seen them anywhere.

Spent the weekend in St. Louis for a wedding and because my wife was in the wedding party and I wasn’t I had some time to spare. Hit up Schlafly brewery for a couple AIPAs, Urban Chestnutt for a STLIPA and 4 Hands for a couple Divided Sky’s (Rye IPA) and an Alter Ego (black IPA). All in all, quality stuff all around, good beer scene for beers not named budweiser. Oh yeah, the wedding was nice too, (but no great beer, lol)!

I had that clown shoes and it was pretty disappointing, my least favorite I've had from them for sure. Love crunkle Sam.

I actually like it, It is better than the Abita bourbon barrel aged stout that I had, but I might also trying to be more fair to the Clown Shoes as it is the first stout I have had since the Goose BCBS and nothing is going to live up to the goose

I hear great things down that way about the beer scene. I was looking around my usual package store yesterday and the beer manager saw me and my girlfriend. Just gave him the usual nod as he's always super busy. 2 minutes later cones out of the back with the nebco variety 4 pack. He goes "you want just the bot? Or the whole thing?" I took the variety pack. I didn't ask how old it was but based on the sea hag I had it mustve been hidden from the last batch of gandhibot cans that came out. Might have to goto nebco if they have it on tap this weekend. I missed out last weekend.

The Clown Shoes was decent again probably unfair to judge a stout when my last taste of a stout was BCBS. Clown Shoes has more of a coffee/chocolate flavor to it with hints of bourbon. I would say worth trying once, but not sure I would spend that much to buy it again when it was not miles better than the Abita Bourbon Street Stout which was like $5-6 less for a bomber.
