I test for Cleveland golf and they were working on a new metal alloy but that was for Cleveland. We got to hit the Tour Concept version of the CG16 which was cool. I'd like to see some new Srixon wedges but I think they are sticking to their new 588 forged for the Srix staffers.

Not impressed with the Srixon (apart from the Z star ball) or the Cleveland line up (apart from the CG tours)

Just saw the 588 CB irons in hand last weekend and they are really fussy

The blade is long with a weird shape - a real step backward for Cleveland - there is no way this could compete with the MP59's, 712 CB's or Razr x forged.

I absolutely guarantee the 588 CB's and MB's will bomb

The Srixon/Cleveland brand is going nowhere

IF they were to be considered a flop, it has to be placed on limited availability and lack of marketing. Very few people who actually hit their irons would say there were anything but good. They may have not worked out but it wasnt for lack of quality.

Ill need to pick up a set of Z-TX 2s if they are done.

As a previous owner of Mizuno MP-52 and Miura 501 I can tell you the Z- TX 2 are as good or better than any Mizuno out there. You are getting MP 63 feel with MP-59 technology. I was really really impressed, I have no doubt that if more people had the chance to try them they would have a cult like following similar to what we see with Mizuno and Miura.

I have a set of MP 63/69 's that sit in the closet thanks to my ZTX2'S Anyone that hit mine comment on how nice they feel and I get compliments quite often on the look of them. I demoed the APs and they did not have anywhere near the feel of my Srizon's. I am disappointed that they wont market them the way they deserve.

I have only heard good things about Srixon clubs, but don't even know where to begin to find them. Most weekenders don't even know they exist. For those in the know, it seems like the clubs were far from a flop, but I feel that it is down to marketing/availability.

I would mind if they concentrated on balls only, as I love gaming them.

Odd, I really like the 588 CBs. Then again i'm playing with NIke VR Split Cavities and new club is amazing.

The ZTX2 has never been marketed properly in the US. The new 588 series irons are not very attractive at address. I like the look of the combo tour set better. the 588 wedges are OK but would prefer the older designs, for the sole shapes. The Z star ball is as good as it gets. Not sure what to think about Cleveland/Srixon as a club brand this year. The 588 series irons and wedges are a bit off the mark. There older designs are better. Still looking for some Tour Zip groove 588 wedges, although I'm playing great with some Tour CG14's which IMHO are better than any of their retail versions.

Note to all companies. Just make the top level wedges and irons and distribute them at retail. Don't put wattered down retail versions out, that s*ck! Titleist does this at least with their woods and irons and some of their Vokey wedges. Look at what the Tour players are using for their custom 588 wedges, nothing like retail.

Titleist TS3 9.5* Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 70 Limited White X
Titleist TS2 15* Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 80 Limited White X
Titleist TS2 21* Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 80 Limited White X

Titleist 718 CB 4-P DGS300
Titleist Vokey raw SM6, 50-8F, 56-12F, SM7 60-08M S300
Cameron Select Newport 2 with SS Flatso 1.0

Not marketed properly? More like not marketed at all!!!! If you go to Srixon.com they haven't even updated their site with the new Z-TX 2's; how hard should that be? The Z-TX 2's have been out for about a year now and their site still shows the original 2010 Z-TX as the current Srixon iron selection.

Update...I went to Srixon.com about a week ago, just visited after posting this and they have removed every single golf club from their site, from drivers and fairway goods to their legendary irons offerings; everything is gone.

Last word I heard is that Srixon is pulling out of NA except for the balls. They don't see any reason to compete with Cleveland clubs and would rather focus the marketing dollars on one company name then two.
