Here at Golfwrx that's exactly what would happen. And for the record there's nothing ASAP about this "book" hahaha I recommend people go see Slice you'll get much more benefit then waiting for a book that has been in the works for YEARS.

I'll just preface this by saying I've worked with slice, like him a lot, but I do not think this book is ever coming out. That being said, I am not sure why Geoff should take heat for it. I literally don't think I have ever seen Geoff post anything about the book. He does mention to students that he is writing it, but those are students. It's not like he promotes it all the time and continues to not release it. It's a project that he's working on, it'll be out when its out (which IMO is never), but it's not like he owes a book to anyone, especially people who are just going to read, spend 27 balls trying 9 to 3s and give up when their cap doesn't drop to scratch.

Geoff does not promote himself, and it's for good reason: he likes to teach, and he knows that to effectively teach, he needs to teach in person. For some reason people who haven't seen him get the idea that he is trying to spread his ideas and teach his swing over the interwebs, when that is the furthest thing from the truth. I have mentioned things to him that are DIRECTLY out of ET, and he has had NO IDEA what I was talking about, because he didn't intend for ET to be a "book" either.

Geoff's "book" is the DVD you get at the end of your lesson. It's about a one hour Geoff narration with you sitting with him as he examines your swing, showing you the good bad and ugly in plain language. He'll provide footage of various players to show you what he wants you to do: grip, set up, back swing, downswing, finish- from ALL angles. That's YOUR book, you watch it over and over again..........and learn. It was shock and awe for me to see my first video- must have watched it 10 times. Great stuff. Sure I'd buy the real book, but you need to see the man.

If Geoff had the business talent, the structure and priorities that a David Leadbetter has - he would be ranked very high in the 100 best teachers list and running a large academy where even his student's students were charging big cash for single lessons. And he would probably have had at least three books out addressing what Hogan "really" did by now. And all of them would be better than the DL version.

His approach to the golf swing may not fit everybody, but it is a very good pattern and his @system if I may say so is in a league of its own as far as inner consistency goes.. Everything he says that makes sense today is valid 10 years later. Geoff has different talents and different priorities. A great teacher and (perhaps) a terrible business man. For worse and better I think that's why the book hasn't surfaced yet and also why he is still running a low key business that enables me and you to go to TXA and get an exceptional golf lesson And for a very affordable price. The three day ticket unlimited golf in St Andrews is in a class on its own as far as green fees go, but the price of taking a 2-3 day lesson with Geoff in TXA is IMO the best bargain in golf.

So you can blame him for not getting the book ready or you can do the Carpe Diem thing and enjoy a very special opportunity to go and see one of the best golf coaches in the world. If Geoff had it in him to get the business spinning he would be out of reach for most of us and maybe some day he will. I feel privileged to have been to TXA twice and I wish him and his family all the best.
