They should cut the season down to 156 games from 162 games. That first round wildcard series needs to be a best of 3. Simple as that

I know it puts a emphasis on winning the division but atleast make it a 3 game series. That would make it better. Anything can happen in a 1 game series ie. a crap call like the other night but it shows who has better pitching and gives the team who won a division a better chance of moving on

I drove the 3.5 hours to STL yesterday for the game. I wish I would have waited a day for a much better one.

I do see them making it a best of 3 series for the Wildcard. Just remember it's the first year of this new format. Just like the Fedex Cup, it wasn't perfect when it started and still isn't perfect, but it is improving as they make changes.

Man, I thought about getting tickets for Sundays game, but was glad I didn't when they blew it like that. Hate spending that much money to see that.

Glad they came out stein yesterday after the tough loss. I think it's gonna come down to a Game 5. The what-if in me is mad it's not 2-0, but they still have a good chance.

Next year it goes back to the 2-2-1 configuration for the DS instead of 2-3, so that'll be better. I like the suggestion of a 3-game series too. That or no off-day after the single game to make it rougher on the WC winner.

With the standard phrase in the Bay Area being "Giants baseball....torture" I don't think ripping other teams apart is our specialty.

I think it will go 6 at least, maybe 7.

Go Giants...I just hope our pitchers are on their game. Cain and Lincecum in full strength in the next couple games would be sweet.

I think we will both agree that its a good thing neither one of our teams pays A-Rod 200 million plus for his contract, just to watch him choke his guts out.

Been a good series so far. I love Matt Holliday, but he's getting close to that A-Rod territory with a bit less contract. He had a great NLCS last year, but that's about it for the playoffs, it seems.

And I have a bad feeling about Lincecum tonight. I know he's had a terrible year, but I think he's going to pitch lights out for some reason. Probably just my pessimism coming out again.

Not quite yet. I know it seems that way with how the last two games have gone, but this team plays the best when they're up against it. The small, non-pessimistic part of me still has some hope. Just want to see them play a decent game.
