Yeah, that's pretty good value getting PXIs standard with a $999 MSRP. What was it, a $30 upcharge with Mizuno?

Figure they are same price if purchased from authorized retailer, so no upcharge. The market is hot for the Ctapers in general. At the GG I part time at, sold 6 sets of CTAPER shafts this year..including installation.

Another OEM with stock Ctapers, does reduce the cost if you go to a lesser priced shaft. Will be the OEM's decision on if they want to do that. Most OEM's charged an upcharge of $25 per club to go to PX, PXi, Ctaper, Modus, etc...the higher priced steel shafts...but that is due to the stock shaft being something 'Normal' DG, KBS Tour, etc...your cheaper priced shafts.

Holding out for no upcharge on Ctapers!

smackygolf, have you been able to hit these? If so, how do they compare to the MP64's (more forgiving?)

In general I have to say bravo to Callaway! These are stunning. I have been holding off on purchasing a set of MP64's in anticipation of these photos being released. Now I will HAVE to give these a demo once they are released!

I got some "You hate Callaway!!" PM's after my rant about the pics being taken down. I hope everyone now realizes that not only do I not hate Callaway, I LOVE when Callaway tries. It produces stuff like this and the Versa putter. And BTW, those of you who aren't skilled enough to hit these--the X-Hot Tour irons look fantastic as well. Come on Callaway--golf needs you.

Yikes! Callaway just doesn't have it anymore. PXi shaft as a stock shaft? That makes no sense for a good player. Yes, they are expensive, but most good players will not fit into that shaft.C-Taper and PXi are almost complete opposite of each other...just sayin'
