My Ping I20's just had their fate sealed. I was debating on making the move to Bridgestone J40's, but now it is a given that I will own these.

I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO RUIN THEM BY ADDIND BADGES !!!!!!!!

They were perfect with NO badges.
It's a "Callaway" and an "X", hardly worthy of full "badging". To each his own I guess. And you can always remove them with a little heat.
That's vanilla compared to what OEMs are doing these days. Man, I wish I could hit these. I need more of a cavity.
Hack.

But seriously T, These look nicely perimeter weighted, at least along the toe line. It's not like these are classic blades and i bet they are pretty darn forgiving with technology built into them.

Well done to the boys and girls at callaway! Beautiful clubs that I will look forward to trying come spring demo days.

Check the original story, which has been updated for more information on loft.
These look sweet but I have some questions:
A) Any loft info?
2) Are these guaranteed to be 17 yards longer? Some of us will require than in a club purchase.
On the Other Hand) Do these come in white?
IV) Will there be a line of matching flat bill caps?

I'll take my answers off air.

[i]Gents,
FWIW, only the KBS C-Taper, which was a mid season offering, was an upfit cost in the 2011-2012 Razr X Forged. We fit a lot of players in KBS Tour, or Project X and Nippon 990's & 1180's based on desired ball flight and spin since they all cost the same to the consumer.
Although I have not yet got a confirmation, I BELIEVE the PXI's are stock offering, and if you wanted to go C-Taper, they will not have any upcharge... basically all steel is No Charge!!!!

I will update once I get the confirmation...
Dude, PXi as stock has been confirmed for over a week.

PXi as a stock shaft?!? Awesome move by Callaway!
I'm not all that familiar w/ the PXi, can you give me a brief rundown of the benefits? I was not a fan of PX or PX Flighted b/c they ballooned on me, badly. I currently use C-Tapers & was hoping Callaway would offer KBS @ no upcharge b/c Phil & Ernie are now KBS guys.
Just wanted to jump in to provide some info on PXi. PXi features a reduced spin rate to both the standard Project X and Project X Flighted. Therefore, you should see a more rounded ball flight that gets through the wind much better. We’ve seen many players pick up a ½ to full club in distance due to the moderate spin rates and slightly higher launch conditions.

Chad or Harry,

Is PXi the stock shaft option? Any thoughts of adding KBS shafts as a no upgrade option, considering Mickelson & Els seem to be using KBS now?
Yes on PXi, yes on no upcharge KBS Tour
Smacky--so upcharge on Ctapers???
First I was told no upcharge, then yes upcharge, then 2 days ago--no upcharge. I would assume they are trying to assess the market on those. Hopefully, they'll stay at "no upcharge."
Thanks for all the info & quick responses.

Is the PXi designed to increase the height of ball flight?
PXi ball flight is slightly higher to the original PX. The shaft was specifically designed to reduce spin so the ball flight in windy conditions is outstanding…the wind plays very little effect on shot trajectory and distance into the wind or strong crosswind situations.

I saw them, heads only about 10 days ago and the "stock" offering had yet to be confirmed by the area sales team... there was speculation that they may be KBS Tour as stock... but if we go the same route as 2011-2012, it wont matter either way :stop:

After reading the article on the front page, I really want to see a side by side pic of these and the Razr X Forged. I am much more a visual person and need to see pics of the differences/improvements described in the article. Even w/ a MSRP of $999.99, I can’t wait for these and lifting the embargo early gives me extra time to save up.

I figured the picture with Phil was solely for marketing purposes....is it true he might actually bag the whole set? That, in my opinion, would speak volumes about these clubs.

I noticed the change on the front page includes some info about loft, and how the PW is now 46*. I've been playing a 52* gap wedge and 58* wedge for years. Anyone have good insight on if that's too much of a gap? I'm thinking it's right on the border because I don't know if I'm up for relearning the game from 120 and in considering its the most important part...

Gorgeous clubs. Would love to see an entire callaway lineup with this type of style. Unfortunately we've already seen the x hot and they don't look as good.
