S55's just showed up

i put this in Stations thread, but ill continue to post in mine till i get pics up

I wasnt going to play the S55's till I hit AZ up in Feb., but I took them to the dome on the weekend
only hit the 5i & 8i (taped em up incase they sucked!! LOL!)

ok guys serious talk here - the S55's are fricken amazing
like MP64 legendary status here
I cant quite describe the feel w the PXi's but ill try: its a solid, firm (not hard), and smooth
DEF NOT as soft as the MP64's, but I am 100% ok w this
PING's have a different feel and these feel incredible to say the least

the sound is just perfect
and forgiving for a players CB, like everyone said before, especially off the toe
caught one a bit off the toe (I need to get them bent a 1* upright I think) and it still felt solid and went straight (well for 90 yards anyways!)
I can get the 5i airborne like my 6i from my old TA2's - these PXi's get up in the air nice

really tough to say for certain, but we have new mats that are very good, almost zero shock or bounce back w them
I know, they are new, honeymoon etc
so ill give em a SOLID test run in AZ in Feb and will comment more after that

need new grips tho the OEM Ping's are terrible - def going w z-cords this year

on another note, I snagged up a brand new i20 9.5 from GT on the weekend for DIRT CHEAP
my Speeder 6.3 shows up tomorrow, so i will shaft it in the i20 and give that a test run

I went into a higher loft, cause I know it will be more like 10-10.5 and with such a low spin.low launch shaft, I wanted some loft/spin in the head
actually almost went 10.5, but I think this will work out great

now a 3 wood .....

I'm interested in how you like that i20. I have the 9.5 also and i'm not quite sold on it yet. I hit it really low with the TFC that came in it.

I have had this driver already, so I know what to expect of it (at least the head)
its pretty forgiving, is LONG on nutted drives and spin is pretty low
the stock shaft is a decent offering, but I wasnt a fan of how it felt
i have no idea why i ever got rid of it in the first place, so im happy to put it back in place
and i like thats its a glued hosel too

i think a new shaft in it may change your mind
I really wanted to try a BB in it, but I may save that for a 3w shaft instead

I just dont like enough of one OEM right now to justify having a 1 or 2 company bag

which I guess is a good thing ... maybe

did see the new APEX's today (non pro)
they are nice i tell ya
but that $1200 price tag is a bit much

You shouldn't be looking at other irons, the s55 is everything you will ever want in an iron.

Ya no intentions of ditchin the S55's at all
Just happened to see they had them out
They are quite chunky, wasnt stoked on them

I try a different putter every day im in there and just cant find anything as good as mine
Ive said this before, but TM's "TRUE ROLL" insert is SO LEGIT
no other insert gets the ball rolling quicker IMO
Zero skidding and i personally love the feel - some dont but feel is subjective

I may get a Spider blade or mallet at 38", it seems nice
The blad is pretty wide, which i like, just not sure if id go flow or plumbers neck

What can you say about the CB5? Seems like everyone that had it with the Fubuki spun the crap out of it, and everyone who played their own shaft loves it. I have a 13* on the way just wondering what to expect.

Just bought the head on ebay as well as the shaft
Will be building it up in the next few weeks

The store. The greens are flat and the holes must have a taper to pull the ball in.

The exact same thing happened to me. Luckily I returned it and a buddy of mine putts lights out with it.
