havent got the X2HP outside yet, indoor sim testing only
honestly, for the money its one of the better 3w's out there
I mean a REAL DEAL Tour Green i this head is awesome

so many good choices out there, this one fit the bill - wasn't the longest, wasn't the shortest, but it fit my eye, had a good stock shaft and felt nice

figured I would add some updates now that the season has started

put BACK in the XHP 20 HY w VTS silver 85H, took OUT the DHy 24
put new 712 AP2's, DGS300's, standard everything, literally off the rack, but they fit me PERFECTLY as is - not changing anything about them, took out 735 cm's

went through a putter fitting, and found out I should be in a 35", centre shafted putter at 68* lie and 3* loft
I prefer a mallet ish type putter
I was fitted for en EDEL, but didn't wanna drop the coin and wait all summer for it, so I experimented w the Odyssey 7 CS and so far - its dollar bills
I have it spec'd out to what I was fitted for and it just plain works

I also I have moved to the AIMPoint Express way of reading putts like Adam Scott ...... and WOW ... it has changed my game, along with a fitted putter
never been so confident over a putt in my life

I have been struggling w ball striking, but am seeing a pro about it
it has saved me from quitting the game, for real
had a bout w the shanks, and he has helped me love the game again
small changes, nothing huge at all and Im back - had a lesson a few days ago, 3 days of practice and I fired a 69 today

lessons, fitted gear .... who knew!!?? LOL!

Ill update some pics to page one when I have my gear back at home, as I leave it at the club usually

Not fitted but I picked up a versa #7 CS back in jan and it improved my putting big time. My stroke has been so much better with the CS it made putting fun again. I also took a lesson few months back and I hear you about making the game fun again. I was fighting some bad swings and hacking it around the course was no fun.

Added this beaut as of tonight

I build it earlier in the year (when I wasn't swinging that well)

now that I am I gave it a shot again and its awesome

 

I wanted/needed something strictly from the tee (or perfect lie in the fwy) for longer par 3's OR a fwy finder on short par 4's

I wanted to keep it lower, let it run out and be shorter than 3w .... this is it

it just pierces through the wind, mid flight and rolls forever

 

I am really happy w the shaft and the Tour Green in my 3w

I need a ROGUE for the driver, but my wallet says otherwise :(

 

glad I gave this club another shot tho

Aldilia RIP TOUR 115 4i shaft straight in, playing to 38.5" (same as the AP2 4i)

Regular Bio Cell head, 6Q3 from the BC +

over the last 3 days I tested it all: D2/D3. i25/G25/Anser, CP/CT 2.0, SLDR/s, BB/BBa

All up against my gamer - VR Ltd. w Speeder TS 6.3

 

Gamer average of best 3; 13/2600, misses ranged from 10-11/3200-3400 and around 20-25yd loss

BC average of best 3; 15-16/2100, misses ranged from 13-14/2800-3000 and only 10-15yd loss

 

there was no question

 

when I was fitted earlier in the year it was into a BBa w Elements Chrome 7F4

I achieved 14/2100, which was as good as it got that day.....but I HATE the BBA head and the cost was well over $600 myself to build this (they wanted over $800)

 

I wanted to try to Pro out, butI honestly don't think I would gain a thing going to the Pro head over this one

the + looks like crap IMO, w the two tones

 

cant wait to get it on the course tomorrow

 

On another Note:

 

I am dumping 3w

I just have no use for it

I hit driver straighter and have more confidence in it

my course really doesn't call for 3w - to get home in two, I'm in trouble more than not

and from the tee, Ill hit Dog or Hybrid

 

I may test a 17* HY and dump the 20, but well see how it goes w/out a 3w for a bit

so far so good
this is a very low launching set up for me, but I wanted it to be
shaft feel great tho IMO
part of me feels like I need something in the 16-18* range maybe in a hybrid format

27 holes and 2 range sessions say its good
scheduled to play 2-3 more times this week, so ill give it a few more runs to be sure about it
I said this in another thread, but to me the BC (regular) is like a better G25: more forgiving, better shape, better sound, lower spin, better feel
