I took my ALBZ Manta for a 'spin' this morning. She puts such a smooth roll on the ball. Got me wondering, does anyone know what Lump calls this face mill? It's the only one I've ever seen like it.

 

Will also add the patina on this putter is unreal. Pre-applied with a hint of natural aging.

 

 

 

That's definitely a unique horizontal face mill..never seen it before on Lump's putters. Very cool

What material is the 'X' badge made out of in the cavity. Really cool looking 'shimmer' to the badge.

 

Ive only rolled it once so far but i love the feel of copper. The face milling and material give a nice click sound which i love. I also like the idea of not having to prevent rust like a carbon putter.

 

In terms of materials...i have no idea what the emblem is. He wrote "Ti" emblem....

I had my best ever 9 hole round last Thursday with this Xenon Mini! The stars aligned and I got the right reads/bounces to shoot a 6 under 30! The 12 putts with this putter was a big part of the story. The green rolled a little slow because of being aerated and top dressed with sand the prior week but Kirkland ball found it's home.

 

 

I acquired this in trade a while back and think it had been passed around, refinished before it made it to my hands. I typically play an 8802/heel shafted putter however I appreciate the unique skills the make a putter like this by hand. The head is Stainless Steel with Copper logo and shaft band.

Lump is local to me only being an hour away so I met him in person and he's genuinely a great guy and wants to produce the best putters possible. He makes it difficult for me to not give him my business.

Is there somewhere that lists the names and associated styles? Waiting for puttertalk to "approve" me so I can't see any photos yet. I'm in the process of putting one together and having a hard time finding everything he's done so far so I can get some ideas. Ran xenon in the search and got 603 threads.

Loving the putters in here. I really like the raw and unpolished xenon style. they have a real "shop" vibe that I just dig. I rolled my

Mini today and it is one of the most fun putters I own. It isn't exotic like some of these but i think it is a very cool head, I will put some pics up tomorrow to share.

well like usual I was told a few different things and lump has gone silent on me for a few weeks. frustrating yes, will I ever get a putter, I don't know. I've kept my cool and all. I'll just keep waiting.....though to be honest I don't think it will happen. Even asked about getting another cover and haven't heard back, so who knows.

Ordered my first Xenon a couple of weeks ago. Anyone here gaming a mallet style from Lumpy?

Drove up and met him one Saturday. Pulled the trigger the next week. Awesome dude to hang out with. Looking forward to getting a truly custom one off putter in my hand.

I've been told a few different things, but I don't think he can get mokume. just based on all of the emails between me and him and me and others, he can't get it. and I also don't think he will be able to pull off the type and style of insert i want.......as he said back in may he went through a few tries with the style and couldnt do it. he told me he could get it done and when the mokume gets in (which i was given many different dates and stories on) I will be first in line. not really optimistic at this point. thought about going elsewhere for the build but I don't have time to get this deep again and I am sort of worn out with customs after my last few fiascos.

I owned this year's ago.. I'm the one who sent it off for a redo. Had the button and band put on...grip aswell. I loved the shape too. I often regret selling this one.

Just picked up my mega ray mallet from Lumpy yesterday. Have to say.... very impressed with the build and the attention to detail that you don’t visually see. All the work that goes into building a putter, it’s very hard to get it perfect. He def checked all the boxes for me.

Met Lumpy yesterday after what seemed like an eternity. Had to wait on the sight line to dry then he asked about paint since we never discussed it. Best left untouched I thought. No CNC used on this one - drill press, small mill and hand work. My apologies for sideways photos. First time for everything.

That neck is terrific! Mine is 4 separate sections that he welded and widdled into one seemless neck. He left the cleanup a little rough where it meets the shaft, but that's was fine with me, adds more character.

In a love/hate relationship with mine after a few rounds(post #354). Love the design and weight. It's heavier than I'm used to rolling at 350gr.

Dislikes (or what I'm fighting)- the toe hang is between a Newport style and face balanced. I normally roll those very consistently but really fighting with this one on what path it would take vs the stroke I put on it. I can do a straight back straight thru on it but cannot seem to square up on the hit. If I put a slight arc into it, it seems to fight back. Sweet spot like a Bullseye, anything off the sightline dies quickly. It's been on 3 rounds and my miss (last round was embarrassing on misses) with it is on my side if the sightline and a pull. I'm putting my way back time machine Cameron NP2 ProPlatinum back in this weekend to see what happens.

Love this stamping. Added a splash of colour. ALBZ Manta has been exceptional to start the season.
