I was shocked by the irons being 2.5*-3* strong!!!!

It makes sense. Tmag doesn't have a 2i in the RSI line and Day likes to go 2i through wedge. That's also why he added the 47* tour preferred wedge.

TaylorMade does make an RSI TP 2-iron. However, my guess is he probably likes to see a certain offset look to his irons and that by bending strong he's essentially playing 2-PW in 3-PW + 47* wedge heads.

Interesting he plays the DG X7 shaft. We all know he hits it higher that about anyone with a shaft designed to keep flight down.

My fault I wasn't aware they had a 2i. Good to know and thanks for the correction.

He's playing KK XTS. Darrell survey counts all KK shafts as the silver, especially the original XTS prototypes that had identical graphics but the "XTS" etched in the shaft.

70x XTS in driver and 80x XTS in 3-wood.

The KK shaft started to get lots of love after Rory's 2014 driving display. Day, Scott, Garcia all switched to it.

What I found interesting in Jason Day's club setup was the driver. If you look at pics of his finish with the driver, the head adjustment is set in a pretty serious draw position.

Looks slight draw to me.

Is it not the same shaft? Maybe I am mixing it up.

All I know is that the TiNi was the shaft Rory used in 2014, then Scott, Day began to test it out after he won with it.

KuroKage XTS is an entirely different profile than the standard KuroKage Silver. They all show up the same on the Darrell Survey. But Day is playing XTS for sure.

They are different. The XTS is newer.

DTown how do you know he has the XTS? His graphics are for the regular TiNi (I know the tour guys have the shafts painted etc).

The XTS has Blacked out Letters? Everything I've seen lately for him has Silver/Gray letters.
I though they said he was using a 1 iron today?
The announcers said he hit a 1 iron off a tee, but they weren't sure.

Could just be the 2 iron he has listed on here. Which could also have a lesser loft, that of 19* and lower.

The original XTS Prototype's were the same graphics as the KuroKage Silver with "XTS" etched in the shaft. They would show up on the Darrell Survey as the KK Silver. Here are his specs straight from TaylorMade:

http://tourdiaries.taylormadegolf.com/2015/04/kings-of-zurich-longest-driving-averages/

Jason Day – Nothing out of the ordinary for Jason. He prefers adjusting a 10.5° to a 9° (as opposed to a 9.5° down .5°) to achieve a more aggressively opened face angle.

 • Head: R15 460 10.5° lowered to 9°
 • Shaft: Kurokage 70 XTS tipped 1″
 • Length: 45.5″ cut
 • Weight: D3
 • Grip: Tour Velvet Cord 58R with 2 wraps
 • Weights: Centered for max distance

Great work DTown! I've been going between the Silver and XTS lately. Silver has been higher ball flight but tends to enhance my miss to the right. The XTS is buttery smooth. Anyway, thanks!
KK Silver will hit higher than XTS for sure. I believe Adam Scott is the only person left playing KK Silver TiNi. Possibly Webb Simpson too. However everyone else including Rory is in XTS.

Anyone know what's the deal with his aeroburner 3 wood? It's always been listed as the 3hl, but the most recent witb update states that it's actually 14.5.
He probably has it opened up a bit which lowers the loft, that's pretty typical on tour.
