Iliac Golf - Wool Pom Head Covers $5.99

I bought a set just for the hell of it. Like another poster said they are not worth the $6, I will give them to some kid that thinks they are cool.

I bought two sets of five of the poms and pretty disappointed with them. I got a white yellow green set of the tassels and like theses ones a lot. Used them yesterday and they looked and worked great.

If anybody has a spare Black/White Pom Utility cover that they want to get rid of, let me know. The 3-wood is just a bit too big for my fairway wood.

I got mine but haven't had a chance to use them. I threw the Pink set of four onto my wife's clubs. They fit ok. I have a feeling that they will be lost within 2-3 rounds if she doesn't keep track of them. Like most people have mentioned, they aren't as tight as I would like and the poms are huge! However, I wasn't expecting perfection when I paid $6 for a headcover.

Also, I'm interested in how people are using elastic to keep their HCs on. Are you actually sewing elsatic into the headcovers? Or are you just using a rubber band or something?

I've played 3 rounds, 2 riding and 1 walking. My driver, three wood and utility headcovers are still perfect.

You used a very unique word to describe the removal of the pom. It was very fitting for the shape of the "sock". If anyone else missed it, it is on page 6.

I guess I will remove the poms on a couple and see how I like it. If I don't... I'll have my wife sew the pom back on.

I got mine and I think they are great for the price. I have some more on the way .

What I like: Poms are smaller than my Travis Havalas. The knitting is great on the heads. The price.

What I didn't like: THEY ARE SO FREAKING LONG!!!!! I have a 6-slot bag and the leather badges are wide and don't easily fit in the slots (which aren't small) so the necks will bunch up. The necks aren't as tight as I'd like but if they were shorter and didn't hit the slots with 3" inches of length, they'd be great.

If they were shorter and the necks fit tighter, they'd be perfect. For $6, they aren't bad. I have some tassles on the way and will post pics tomorrow.

Actually, I think longer head covers are a good thing. I like the idea that expensive graphite shafts don't rub against the club dividers, edges of the bag or shorter clubs.

My six-dollar Iliacs are a fair bit longer than needed to guarantee the shafts don't touch anything but head cover. They could be 2-3" shorter and still offer full protection.

If the bottom of the neck wasn't as thick they would be awesome, but when you have to actively "tuck" them in its annoying. It's looks like Turkey Neck all bunched up. The Travis Havalas I have aren't as good a quality as the Iliacs, but they fit much better in the top 2 dividers for the Driver, FW and Hybrid. If the bottoms were slimmer OR shorter they'd be perfect, but perfection is tough at $6 to attain.

I'd still order more, and have a 2nd shipment on the way. I wish I could cut or shrink the necks, but I'd prob ruin them.

They have to be long because the pom is so large. Better than too short.

I'm getting ready to take mine to a local embroidery shop to get my club's logo put on the leather patches. Couldn't be happier.

I feel bad for those that don't like theirs. Let me know what colors you have in 3W and hybrid, I might take them off of your hands.

I have a friend that has Iliac wool's and they are completely different than these. I was expecting the same as what he has. You cool with that?

If I find Nike shoes on sale, I expect them to be the same quality as Nike shoes at retail (unless they are marked diffferently, ex. B grades).

I can understand people being frustrated if they are not up to Iliac's normal quality. I wonder if some colors were bad batches or something. Mine are perfect.

No but they say Iliac on them. I did not know that they sell different levels of wool headcovers. I just looked at their site and I only see one line. Anyone have an extra Black, Gold and White Argyle Driver head cover?

I have an extra Black Red and Gold one. I'll pay both shipping costs.

The problem people have is that they are Iliacs and you'd expect the quality to be the same or damn near close. I don't know what the OGs were like, but heard great things about them. I like mine, just wish there were minor changes. $6 is still a bargain.

Mine are perfect, even the leather badges are perfect. I like them but, like I posted earlier, the pom on the driver is huge! Luckily for me my wife owns a hair salon so she should be able to trim that sucker right up
