So, I checked my covers again and, yes, all 5 of them have the "Made in China" sticker on them! Something seems very "slick" about this entire deal. I'd like to know what Iliac's position is on the issue? They seem to be a company that prides itself on quality, style and American craftsmanship. Selling Overseas product but still labeling it as USA seems disingenuous, at best.

My point of contention is Iliac would package and tag the headcovers in a way that would lead someone to believe they were, in fact, made in the USA (no mention of China, only a a drawing of California and Carlsbad). I sell supplies to manufactures here in the states. Many of their customers have left for overseas production, for pennies on the dollar. Once they realize over 50% of the product needs to be scrapped, 6-8 month lead times, and they have to pay for it before it leaves the dock. They come back. I bet they went cheap and had a manufacture in China make a run. I bet they did use the same raw materials and had them shipped from New Zealand to said plant. They probably figured that if they could control the raw goods the plant used, they could somewhat control the quality. Once that failed, they probably just decided to get out of the wool business. They are definitely real liliacs in the sense that they sold them to RBG.

Pom or tassel on the navy one?

I have a white and navy in the utility and hybrid sizes and love them. I was looking for a navy 3 wood cover with tassels.

I have a set of the bright/light yellow with red and blue, driver, 3 wood, utility and 2 hybrids (5 total) will not separate, are in great shape - used for about 3 rounds of golf until my custom made Sunfish covers arrived.

I ordered back when this was first posted and can say that I am disappointed by the quality. I ordered a set of: Driver, 3 wood, hybrid and utility. The ends on mine no longer have any sense of tightness to give a secure fit on the club. I've stopped using all of them and have gone back to the generic headcovers the clubs came with. It really seems like it was a low quality or defective run of product that they dumped to RBG to sell to the public. Problem is, it still has their brand on it and in my eyes reflects poorly on the company. ...but hey, $5-6 per headcover, it was worth a try. Will I spend money on more of their products, probably not after this experience.

I bought four sets and while I have noticed differences in the width they are still worth the price. I did not have any problem with the leather shield either on any of mine but it did peel on one a buddy bought.

I bought two sets. The set that I purchased and put in my bag immediately is still in good shape after 6(ish) months (A tiny bit stretched out but none of them are falling off).

IMO they are better than, or on par with Rocket Tours.

No way they are on par with Rocket Tours. At least not the ones I received.

If you look through this thread I was at first very pleased with the Iliacs. Now, 6 months later, they were all lost, ripped or totally stretched out and use less. On the other hand I bought some used Rocket Tours and they are still perfect. And the Rocket Tours are quite a bit thicker.

I only have 1 Iliac left that is still serviceable. And it's fairway cover that is so big that I use it on a Cleveland Classic driver.

I bought 2 sets and they were all junk. Not even worth the $6.

For those with bad ones which color do you have?

My daughter has the pink ones, and minus one peeling patch they are ALL perfectly ok. And she plays a lot (for her school), and carries about 5 woods - all covered with these.

I have the yellow with the red and blue flecks (for lack of anything else to call them) and they too are perfectly ok. I don't baby them, and I walk nearly all my rounds (if that matters), none have ever fallen off (I use an electric push cart) none are strectched out, they have gotten wet and so on.

I am left to assume it's specific ones that failed - say the all black ones (I am just using that as an example).

The only negatives I have are that the 3 wood covers are a bit oversized.

good to see that even Charlie has to wait for Iliac stuff.. I thought it was just me. I love the style, but the service is pretty subpar in terms of delivery to a timeline. Stitch and Rocket Tour are much fasrter..

I have red/white/blue and navy/white and a few of the shields are peeling but otherwise the covers are holding up pretty well. I keep them on my clubs for practice sessions and bad weather rounds and only swap them out for a set of Stitch Techno Wool occasionally. For $6 each I am happy.

I ordered a 3 wood and 2 hybrid ones in the black/yellow/argyle. One of the hybrid covers got a hole within the first week and became unusable within about a month. The second hybrid cover made it a little longer but the shield peeled fairly quickly and it had about 4 holes after a month or so (2 fairly large). The 3 wood cover looks like its about 10 years old now, and I only used it about 2 months. I really liked the look though, and cant really complain about them since they were so cheap, but I've had rocket tours in the past that I felt were much better quality.
