So before I buy one of these next week, just to confirm one more time... For those who were fitted and or have hit this club, the SLDR feels and sounds like the R510 DF? true or false? That has been my favorite of all drivers of all time slightly edging the 300 tour "Holy Grail" by a hair
To me it sounded "closer" to the R510 TP, but not the same. Others may disagree, but I'm just glad it went in that direction.

anyone know what the headweight is on this?
212 grams if I remember correctly. D4 swing weight.
We were told it would be just over 210g with the tip. I just weighed mine w/o the tip and it was 203g.

Unfortunately mine also came in at a stout D-7. Shafted at 45.5" with the Speeder 6.2 TS shaft. Might have to see what can be done about that. May need to cut down to 45" or so and see where we stand after that. I usually hit my driver between D-3 and D-4. Anybody else have a heavier than expected swingweight?

I would agree...While much more solid than the recent stuff, it still wasn't exactly like the 510 TP.....To me it sounded more like the r7 460 TP...

Takling a 1/2 inch off should get you pretty close to D-4...I haven't had a chance to measure mine yet but did request it at 45" so I'll see when I get home...

I remember talking about swingweights at the fitting, but never checked his notes of my fitting afterwards to see if he noted it. I am fine with 45" or a little less, so that might be my answer. I'll give it a try at full length and then choke down a little and see which works best before performing any "surgery".

If you have a 60g shaft in at 45.5 and it's D7 I have to think they have lighter tour heads around the 190g range. Do they have a lighter tour only weight for the bottom so that they can adjust the weight to exactly what the pro needs via hotmelt ?

Maybe I'm missing something but if you were fitted with that shaft and liked the results why would you care that it is D7 instead of D4?

No you're not missing anything. We had no idea what the swingweight was when I was fit hitting outside in NorCal. It was not checked during the process. It could have been D-7, D-4, no one knows now. We were asked what swingweight we preferred. I'll find out what the results are when I give it a try this weekend. I just know it's heavier than I'm used to, and so we move forward and decide what's best now that I have it in hand again.

I got mine today. It looks the same as everyone else's so I won't post any pics.

I went with the White Tie Matrix shaft, 5x3. It feels light to me right now but when I swing it on the range, I'll see how it compares to my D2.

As for how the shaft looks, its cool.

Its white, some black and grey lettering. A matte finish.

No I am not a tour pro. I am a golf instructor and college coach, but I have been lucky enough to be a long time TaylorMade staff member.

The specs on my SLDR are perfect. Length, swing weight, and total weight are exactly what I expected. I wasn't able to get it to the range today, but it feels great just swinging it. I'm thrilled!

Anyone figure out the tip? After comparing it to a few spare shafts, it appears to be the exact same as an R11S/RBZ but all black.

Here are some comparison pics to my superdeep and R11. Anybody else have a number on their slider? I guess my slider weight is 11 grams? SW is D3 at 44.5 inches. I was fitted for a motore speeder 6.2 but somehow received the 6.2 tour spec instead, hopefully I can get that worked out.
