No numbers pn my sldr weight...I was under the impression they were all 20 grams...at least that is what they told us...I'm also wondering if they spined ths shaft ad my logo is oriented at about 8:30.... anyone care to share if their shaft is other than logo down?

I'm curious as well. They said in our tech session that the "old" 1.5* tips would work in the SLDR. I was hoping a couple of my older R9 tips would work, but no dice. You are right about matching the R11 tips however. So some good news, some bad.

will the r1 tp sleeve/shaft fit in this sldr?
I have an r1 with a ad di 6, how does the devotion or speeder 6.2 ts compare to each other and the ad di 6?

Comments to some previous questions above. My weight doesn't have a number stamped on it. And my shaft graphics are oriented at about 7:00 instead of exactly down. The builder installed the sleeve so the shaft graphics aligned with the standard loft setting. Since my fitting setting is one click to a higher loft, that reoriented the graphics slightly. My grip is installed with the grip logo exactly down as I requested.

Are you saying the R11 tip will work? Because if it's the 2013 tip the R11 will not work. There are a different number of splines at the end of the tip not allowing it to to fit. It looks exactly the same but the splines are different

I am still wanting to know! WIll the R11s tip work with the SLDR? If it does I will get it! If it does not I will not!

My understanding is no. it's the same tip they've used this year so no any previous model won't fit.


But my sldr has not yet arrived and I wasn't part of the fitting trip so I'm only 95% positive anything pre 2013 will not fit

That's how my graphics are as well....I guess I'm showing I'm a newbie with the adjustable sleeve...I'll defintely go grip logo down next time so it wont move if I make head adjustments

Thanks for the fantastic information in this thread. I haven't been a TM fan since the R7 super quad (I never liked the white headed drivers). But this club looks great from the pictures. I will have to put it on my list of drivers to try. Please keep posting about your real world results.

[size=4]So after a trip to my golf shop and my backup bag, here's what I believe is the final answer on tips. R1 tips [u]will[/u] work, but with different labeling of course. RBZ Stage 2 1.5* tips [u]will[/u] work and are apparently what was installed on our SLDRs, so they work best. At least until "official" SLDR tips are out there for purchase.

Unfortunately R9, R11, R11S and RBZ tips [b]DO NOT[/b] work with the SLDR. Wish I had better news for the R11S owners out there. (me included)[/size]

I don't own an R1, or have one to reference, but since the R1 is multi lofted, it does not have the same markings as the SLDR which has only one loft. Same principle, just different markings.

Honestly every one of them really liked the head. A couple guys didn't like the feel of the 7.2 tour spec so I put in the Di and they loved it. All of them commented on how they liked the sound and feel. The face feels softer not as harsh.

I played 9 after work Friday and only had to use the driver 4 times. I went right from the car to the 1st tee (no range time at all). First drive was one of the longest I have ever hit on that hole and I didn't even feel like I fully connected. Hole 4 was the next driver hole and I basically shanked it so we will throw that one out. Hole 5 is a par 4 which has a 15 yard wide stream running right through the middle of the fairway. Its about a 240 carry to clear it. Most guys lay up and have about 200 left. When I am feeling good or just playing a casual round, I go for it. I would say I make it about 60% of the time by about 10-15 yards. Obv I was going to give the SLDR a go. I absolutely CRUSHED it and cleared the water by 25-30 yards. Easily the longest drive I have ever hit on that hole. I think once I get it dialed in and am consistantly hitting it like that it will be a game changer for me. I am playing 18 (possibly 27) tomorrow on a long course where I will probably need to hit driver 12 times (if I only play 18). I will report back after.

I did. results are inconclusive to be honest. the weight of the shaft I have is really throwing everything off. I hit it side by side with my current gamer and I'd I had to choose right now, the gamer would stay in.

I know before I said it would go right to the bag but further testing and more reps are making me eat it right now.

Well, seeing as how Snedeker put it right in the bag and is at the top of the leader board at the RBC, says a lot. 7.2TS is a lot of shaft and feels too firm in the hands of most. Di is extremely user friendly and feels as good as a shaft can. I'm really looking forward to this being released.

That was my impression of the face as well, feels really good when hit solid. It was the first thing that jumped out at me.

It is amazing that the distance gains are pretty much a concensus. My R1 could not sniff the R11S but it appears their are some gains to be had with the SLDR. I can't believe high 150's ball speed got over 300 yards.
