I know 1,000 is wishful thinking, but it would irritate me to know someone who followed this megathread like me couldn't get one if they really wanted one. I am going to stalk the online sites like a fool today and tomorrow and will grab one or more if I can. I am fortunate to be working from home the next two days and have nothing but time to stalk throughout the day at random times (just working around a few conference calls).

And I hereby solemnly swear that if I get an extra one (that is, if TGW honors my original order) that I will reserve it for one of us crazy fools at no extra cost (other than shipping). wldchld22 occupies the first spot on my list if he doesn't get one.

It's at least better than the 40 sets of MM Protos that were released.

At its peak yesterday 160+ were on the thread, im guessing 120 grab this release!
After the release im sure pics with conformation will be sent and when received im sure the thread will expolde with pics as well as Lesmond's pick up thread..

I agree but the main thread was taking soooo long to load.

Plus once this thing drops the traffic on one thread will be unbearable. I hate to think people can't share info because this thread is loading so slowly or people are getting errors.

It's a necessary evil. Hopefully we can merge both once the dust settles. I hate two threads also but let it ride for a week.

I have not been able to find any info on retailers. Very frustrating....

If major retailers are getting it, then IMO there will be a min. of 1000 avail. There not going to send 1 to each store, doesn't make sense and would cause major headaches for retailers and online orders etc... Plus if the MSRP is about $500, they are not trying to make this a SC Circle T or Tour Stock type product release.

I guess we will see tmrw, but I think this is going to be Nike's first attempt to enter the premium milled putter market. It will be interesting to see what strategy they use. They have waited so long though, it would seem like they are asking for a customer service nightmare if it is an ultra limited release (<500 units).

My guess is they go a little higher on the number of units to make sure people are able to get this thing in there hands and try it and more importantly compare to other premium options. So that means a decent quantity. Also, makes sense from a retail perspective. I doubt the major outlets would jump on board if they were only going to get a cpl each per store. This will be different then the mm protos which were really just a pre release of a new model to get some chatter going.

Let's hope they hit this one out of the park from both a product and customer satisfaction standpoint.
