Can you call the shop to check on status? That is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. I would be less than happy to say the least. I don't care how busy they are, it's a simple yes or no on a very interesting and controversial putter

I am betting it is real and they are figuring out what they can send him (plural) to keep this putter in the shop. I have seen some of scotty's first garage made's in his studio in oceanside/carlsbad and some are flat out terrible. This is up there with flat out terrible so I am going with scotty wants this one back.

wow it takes 2 months for a putter to get a COA? If you didnt hear anything from Cameron, he either took it and stashed that putter or threw it in the trash.

Considering handmades go for $10-15K...but something like this hasn't been seen before. Makes it tough to value and if it were real you would see some big dogs come out to play.

Still say its fake. COA wouldn't take this long. It's probably been melted down at the local scrap yard at this point.

Or they need Scotty to see it and search his memory and he's been on an extended vacation.

COA turnaround can average 50-60 days sometimes, especially now that we are nearing the holidays and there are probably a lot of putters going in the shop. As others have said, with a piece like this it probably requires Scotty himself to look at it and determine its authenticity. Tracking him down may be a little difficult and even then he has to try and remember it. If by mid-December there is still no word then something is up.

I'm failing to see how it being real or not changes it's beauty in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I think it looks terrible, but I can understand the value if it was in fact an early handmade made by Cameron. Why wouldn't it be a masterpiece if I made it instead of Cameron? What if a different Roman painter had painted the Sistene chapel in the exact same way Michelangelo did? It's about the quality of the work, not the name of the artist, IMO.

If it is real, we will be able to see scotty's starting point which will make us see past the aesthetics of the putter. However, if it is not, then its just a failed piece. Also, if the putter is real, I doubt scotty will let it go so no need to worry about a sad fellow who will have to pay big bucks to hang an ugly flat stick with his CTs and 009s.
