Like others have said, it would be nice to have a photo of her using this putter in a tournament.

Man, I'm new to the putter scene, and i don't have the funds to be a part of it... But that is pretty cool if it's authentic!

I'm pretty sure most of the early handmades have that grip.

From what I can tell you are correct. Would be interested to know what the folks on cameron collectors would say about this stick.
Its been sent in for authentication. I will let you all know their findings. Thanks for all the help! I have many, many tour and prototype putters, but this one has me baffled.

I love it when people bash simple questions that others have. I see a lot of reasons that this could be something that ends up being special. Don't get special and valuable confused. Some of my most prized putters in my collection are putters that have a hell of a story behind them. When it comes to putters I buy now and figure out later. Some of my favorites are a Scotty Coronado Pintail Tour that came from a bargain bin, a bobby grace handmade copper where the patina looks like some holy image, a $10 ray cook Billy Baroo, and an absolutely hideous Seemore LRT Loren Roberts Train that was $4.99 at a Play It Again. I can't wait to hear what he finds out, I mean think about a putters history and who he got it from. Depending on where people live and how often they frequent thrift stores, yard sales, and bargain bins everything can be found. My list off cool finds that were under $25 would blow your mind. I could eat crow when she (the lpga player) remembers that it was made by a neighbor to ward off stray animals on evening walks or ...... this thing could end up in Japan for $10 grand. Keep us posted. I'm rooting for that diamond in the rough buddy !!!

This thing got me so intrigued that I decided to pull out a couple early coronados that are in the quiver and examine the two. Looks pretty darn similar regarding his stampings and then the bumpers. If that was indeed not a reweld or cut neck if you will then JACKPOT.

I think a lot of you are missing the sarcasm here. That is in no way an authentic Cameron handmade. Maybe a Kirk Cameron handmade...

I'LL GO RIGHT OUT AND SAY IT ...... I THINK ITS AUTHENTIC. NO SARCASM, NO JOKING. When I actually think about everything it all adds up to me. Too many things are correct when I think about the story, examine the putter, and really think about the time frame.

I'd even trade him a Scotty Cameron made for the Tour for it right now before it gets back from the Custom Shop if it was agreed to before we knew the real answer.

send it in and Mr. Cameron will probably want it if its legit. But if it really was legit, I probably would not want to sell it if money was not a big issue.

The face looks legit but the rest not so much. As others have said send it for a COA. My guess is it will get a B COA for after market work.

I'm throwing my hat in the legit ring. The head shape is spot on for a Coronado. The stampings are right. The grip is right. The head speed shaft is period specific and was a favorite of his early on.

Only thing I will say is I'll be surprised if you get it back and aren't offered a putter in return from the man himself.

Seems legit. The weld has me worried, maybe something done after wards. I'm betting, legit but subsequent work will take from its value.

Is it real? Who knows. The "SCOTT CAMERON" appears to be in the same font and style of stamps that he used in the very early days. I do have to say that it looks sloppier than any other putter I have seen with any chance of being an early Cameron. The weld, the trough in the flange, and the sloppy bends/offset in the neck make me doubt.
IMHO, we will never know, even if it gets the nod at the studio.
Hideous with that neck/top line, but who are we to judge?
Can we get a shot of the sole? Not sure why it has not been shown, previously.
Also, I think that the shots of the early Camerons was nice, but it shows very little that would sway my thoughts either way. MANY of that style putter have been made, by MANY other makers. Here is a sample of two, NOT MADE BY SCOTTY.
No ..... I just look at it like this. If the story is accurate and it was owned by an LPGA Tour Winner approximately 20 years ago and hasnt seen the light of day in a basement then who knows what it was. I see the stamping in my opinion which looks correct along with the DE grip then I put 60% of my belief in the story alone. I dont necessarily think that my coronados make any certainty when a tpm 10 has the same curves and came well before any frys pity putter. I think that it is legit handmade cameron and even though it looks like total crap of a weld I find it odd that there was no sign of a neck cutoff. The long red sightline reminds me of the studio design 2. I'll be the first to say the odds are not in favor with that weld but I'm a gambling man and think that it could be some wacky thought for someones cs idea.

Line me up first when he gets a B cert and say .... Josh, you're an idiot !!!!!! I can take the heat BABY !!!!
