Nebraska Golf

Thinking about taking a trip to Nebraska for golf next year. As far as the weather goes when is a good time of year to go? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The saying here in Nebraska is, "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change"!

Typically spring is fairly windy, summers are hot, and humidity is up even in the Western part of the state. Right now is about the best time. Temperatures are usally very comfortable (60-70's) and usually there is not as much wind.

We played mid July and it was hot but not humid, it was a pleasant change from the Louisiana weather. Great long days.

Anything east of North Platte will be humid. Weather is pretty good now. Late May into June is pretty good too.

Yep...what these guys said. East of North Platte will be humid in the summers, but June/July typically have long days which is great for golf trips where you want to maximize your hours for golfing.

Went out and played the Prairie Club during the first weekend of August. First day was warm but nothing extreme. Played 54 holes and there was still daylight left when we finished. Second day it stormed in the morning and that delayed tee times, we didn't get off until 11 a.m. or so but we still were able to get 36 in. After the rain moved out the rest of the day was gorgeous.

Only heads up I'd give the OP is to bring plenty of gnat repellent as they were swarming pretty bad while we were out there.
