Adams makes really good clubs in general not just hybrids....(secrect: more pros would plays adams drivers, fairways, hybrids if it wasn't any contracts on tour)

Idea pro gold (peanut shaped model) Yellow accent on bottom of club, black on top with a silver outline.....i think it may be the original model? Tom Watson almost won the British open with it. He's on their paid staff and was gaming probably a four year old model hybrid at that open, which says alot. I bet the bigwigs at Adams were begging him to put a newer Square model in bag for that major, but they are not as good. Ive had the 4 hybrid in my bag for 6/7 seasons and it is automatic...nothing ive tried can knock it out of my bag. Good for hybrid chip-putt shot too if that tickles ur fancy.

The XTD ti looks like a winner except for the too upright lie angle. Why did Adams make their new hybrids 2 - 2.5 degrees more upright than the "Super" hydrids last year? How forgiving is the Super 9031?

Adams Pro Black 9031 for me, a true 'hybrid' club. Workable, easy to manipulate flight from high to low and neither a puller or a mini-fairway wood.

Pro gold tour prototype. Absolute rocket. Super solid, longer and more reliable than the Super hybrid . Original black and silver chipped up no ,after nothing will replace it.

Just bought a Adams xtd 17 to fit my gap (14 wood to 20.5 3 iron) that I have never tested. Hopefully, I can add some positive comments to this thread.

I cant believe nobody at least mentioned the "New Idea" hybrids that recently came out. They come in the new idea hybrid iron set stock and they are sold separately as hybrid standalones.

I love these hybrids. I was at my local store today shopping for other stuff and the look of them really caught my eye (look like smaller headed woods, not hybrids), so tried them out and I was stunned. They blew my Ping g25s out of the water, primarily in dispersion/forgiveness, but they also were 10-12 yards longer. I literally could not mis-hit these. I swapped my pings on the spot haha. Straight or straight with a slight draw every time. More accurate than any other adams club Ive ever swung. Nice little stock mitsibushi shaft I think helps to keep the already forgiving clubhead super steady at impact. Not much feel or sound out of them, but thats all/most adams hybrids, and not an issue to me at all.

Anyways, give them a try. For some reason, they are flying completely under the radar, aside from the adams website that is, "the most forgiving hybrid we've ever made."

Dhy hands down. I don't like the hybrids but I can hit te dhy really well. Just picked up the 18 and can't wait to put it in play.
