Thanks OP for posting the pictures, I'm an owner and have been happy with the product(durability aside) but I must say:


Doing a fine job growing the company???


Why is the flatso ultra taking so long to come to retail?
Why do they continue to offer/tease tour only color options that never come to retail?
Why no all black version?
Why are they always sold out or out of stock (I realize demand is high, but "C'MON MAN!")?
Are they made in China, is this the cause of delay's?

I realize this is nit picking/venting, but obviously I'm not the only who is frustrated.

Congrats on the initial/launch strategy, but it would appear it may be time to adjust to fit the current demand/requests of your products by loyal customers. Just saying...

Too fast of a growth is probably not their current business model, which I believe is a good thing. It would have been fairly easy for them to get additional manufacturing sites in more manufacturing friendly countries and offer all colors and types as quickly as possible. Cost would have went up to support their extra investment. Various manufacturing sites also lead to inconsistencies in product (different sources for materials as well).

The consumer these days wants everything now and at any option set that they can think of. I believe that this is not a successful way to grow a company. I see SS as having a very consistent growth over the years. They have a pretty unique product so they have to be extra careful with their decisions. I don't see them growing with offering other golf equipment such as clubs, balls, apparel, etc...

Is SS grips harder to get compared to other putter grips? Yes, but not at a level to complain about. I can get all current models at 3 different locations within 10 miles from my house. If they don't have them in stock, talk to a manager and have one placed on hold. You should get it in a week when the next shipment comes in. I speak from experience. We as consumers are getting lazy and over demanding.

I would also say that SS does a good job of listening to the consumer and trying to fit their marketing strategy with the wants (not needs) of the consumer. The SS grip improved my putting. The color of the grip didn't.

Having used a ss 3.0 for the majority of this year, I'm quite interested in the new flatso's. Trying to determine whether I want to go Mid or Ultra though. Anyone else making that transition?

I am really looking forward to the new 2.0 grips with the predominantly black color scheme. My current 2.0 grip is really starting to look dirty. I have tried to clean the white, but it is nearly impossible to get it back to its original luster. The black/white or black/green is a definite purchase when they come to retail.

There are a lot of people out here in the real world that would use a Superstroke but don't want to be an advertising billboard for a company and don't like to use grips that look like a cat ate some florescent paint and barfed all over the grip. Just sayin'...

At least with the prototype you can black it out with a sharpie, but I agree, how much longer is Superstroke going to use their grips as a billboard. Must have been some kind of research that suggested the pros outweigh the cons. How about an all black limited release?

Of course put me down for an FSU Slim, and all sizes o the orange and blue available so I give them to stray cats as toys.

Kadin's review has me excited for the release of the new Flatso. I'll take as much black as I can get, even if it means a splash of colour. I don't even mind the silver/black combination. Anything has to be more attractive than the white monstrosity that is currently sitting in my bag.

I understand that they are a small company, and growing at a very rapid pace. Great problems to have, but problems nun the less. But the release of the flatso ultra has been an absolute disaster.

They have been teasing it for 6+ months. One of the hottest players on tour is using it. And yet they can't get it in stores. Yeah, the average consumer doesn't know the ultra from the mid from the flatso, but the guys that do have been looking. And they haven't been able to get one.... And yes I'm one of them, and yes I'm pissed...

Really disappointed to see that the midnight series doesn't include the black and green...i was dying to replace my lime green bettinardi iomic grip with a slim 3.0 this spring but now i might have to reconsider. i guess my i let myself get too excited when it was still TBA...

I think there is a SuperStroke rage going on right now, and rightfully so, they not only provide a unique functioning grip, but a very attractive grip. I have one on my Odyssey PTT #9. I like them also because they are made about 25 miles from me in Wixom, Michigan. Go SuperStroke!

I actually just bought 2 Flatso Mid (new white/red style) and 2 Flatso grips (white/green) this week, off ebay. So those are out there already.

Looking forward to the retail release. I wasn't a fan of the look originally, but once I put a Super Stroke on one putter, traditional grips feel less natural to me. I'll be re-gripping my other putters with SS as I'm more concerned about the feel over the look. Still, a few subtle colorways and logo's would be nice to attract the masses.

Looking at the catalog I don't see any Flatso options in the Midnight series... Is this still true?

I was really hoping for a Flatso Ultra with the midnight color scheme...
