As far as food & "beverages" we can order off the menu.

 

So let's go $100 a man (like my past two outings)

 

Modified handicap StableFord format.

$41.00 green fees

$59.00 friendly side action

 

Based on 20 players here are the "estimated" payouts.

 

20x$59 $1180

 

StableFord two flights

1st $200 x 2 $400

2nd $100 x 2 $200

 

Skins $20 ea x 18 $360. *one tie all tie, in the event there are no skins paid monies will be added to StableFord prize fund with added payouts.

 

Pins $55 ea x 4 $220

 

If anyone has connections for raffle prizes that would be greatly appreciated. In the past we have had Callaway clubs, golf balls, poker chips. I will continue to reach out to my sources, any help that I can get would be awesome.

Brickyard Crossing (goes inside the Indy 500 track for 4 holes)

I can check with my country club (Meridian Hills Country Club) course once you get a date and see what they say.

All seriousness though, April will be a tough month for me personally as we're having baby #2 early in the month, and the house we're building should be done that month too. And I know I'll be out of town the last weekend of April (25-27), so it's WICKED packed for me.

For anybody who looks at puttertalk, Bruce Rearick Aka Bargolf is the director of golf at The Fort. You might be able to swing some deals for rooms there. If you do Indy I would possibly make the drive up.

I have been to both Indiana outings so far. I highly recommend going as it is very fun (look at the pictures in the previous outing thread) and you meet a lot of great people.

I hope to meet new WRX'ers this time around as well as see the "regulars"

I agree with the prior suggestions, but would add the Trophy Club to the list as it is right on Interstate 65 on the northside, and is a great track, for a great price, and isn't too crowded.

I'll be watching for dates as I'm thinking I'll try to make this one. Trophy Club is really good and convenient for anyone coming down from Chicago. Otherwise i vote Plum Creek or Prairie View.

How do these work. Once the date is set do we make the tee time or is that taken care of. any other advice for a rookie

Once we get a date and some people who are for sure in, kadin will do his thing (more or less).

As for advice.. Prepare yourself.. These guys are a lot of fun, golf geeks, and awesome people. I went to both last year and had an amazing time at both of them.

Went to this outing last fall, it was fun. I should be able to make this one. Good fun, and good competition between the fellas.

Can't wait, my bag is set now I just need the clouds to part. Winter is a drag.

Best course for the money and ease to get to is by far The Trophy Club.

Great course....very well maintained and best prices going for course of this caliber.

Like they said earlier....never crowded.

The Fort is nice run but not always in best of shape and alittle over priced.

Prairie View for me is same as above.

Purgatory is great track but off the beaten path alittle but gets less play than Trophy Club.

Brickyard is very nice for first timers but a lot better tracks for less money.

I would like to also throw out there.......Bear Slide in Cicero.

I forgot about Bear Slide. I do know someone there who maybe able to help with arrangements if we settle on that place. I think Trophy Club maybe alittle more accessible and a better deal overall.
