GolfWRX is live this week from the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The course -- which was originally designed by George Cobb in 1961, and was later upgraded by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio -- will play as a 7,600-yard par-71 for the event.

Jordan Spieth, the 2017 Open Champion and No. 2-ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Rankings, has an opportunity this week to become the youngest golfer ever to win the career grand slam. He's not the betting favorite, however, at 8/1 odds. Rory McIlroy (7/1 odds), who's currently ranked No. 4 in the OWGR, is touted as the favorite. Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama, the world's No. 1 and 3-ranked golfers, respectively, are pegged at 12/1 odds to win the season's fourth and final major.

In last year's PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club (Lower Course), Jimmy Walker won his first and only major championship by one stroke over Jason Day. Both players are back in this year's field, and they're each looking to win their second PGA Championships.

I was just going to ask what's with all the shorts. Was there some special occasion? Don't think I've seen that many tour pros in shorts ever. They better be careful all that glare off those legs could blind someone!!

I thought Callaway did a great job with their special edition staff bags and headcovers for the first 3 majors, but I think these are somewhat lacking.

For those of you who want to know, If you look at Lovemark's Callaway MBs, he had them ground down to have almost zero bounce on them to match his old Nike irons. So thats why you won't see numbers on the bottom and they are stamped on the back.

Never noticed this before, but in Tues, pt1 there is a picture of Jimmy Walker and his head/eyes have swiveled towards the target before the ball is struck, ala Annika and David Duval. Also, pics of VJ on Tuesday looks like he may be trying the new Ti Fiber driver shaft from Aerotech.

I wish they would allow them to wear shorts every week. The clothing brands would like it too considering 99% of amateur golfers wear shorts to play golf in.

There was a question about who was using the Hogan driver. Might be Richard Sterne as I read somewhere that he used a persimmon driver in practice to improve his driver swing.
Could that be an early 60's Hogan driver that had a speed slot? (I go back that far).
