Tour Pros playing Winn grips?

Simple question: is there a single PGA tour pro playing Winn grips?

I can’t think of one but I’m pretty sure a few LPGA players do.

No one jumps out at me and you'd think that if there were they might actually sign one of them up as opposed to using Butch as their star man so to speak.

I think just on putters like Sneds.

They are not durable enough for the pros to play and would probably have to be regrippped every tournament.

Winn has the duratech grip. Harder rubber up top and softer on the lower half. Don't know how it wears. Maybe Winn is more popular on the champions tour with the older guys.

I always assumed the pro's went to the trailer every week and got knew grips regardless if they are worn or not. A perk of being a pro. (unless you don't have that sponsor)

I agree on the wear factor. I happen to love the feel of the Dritac grips but they have to wear out faster than any other grip on the market.

Do pros mix and match grips? Example: I run Wynn Dritacs on all three of my woods. All my irons I play Lamkin Crossline. The squishy Dritacs keep me from squeezing the ever loving life out of my driver. And the Crosslines give good traction in steamy rainy gross summer conditions in FL.

If you use Winn grips quit the game.

I doubt pros switch up grips much at all.....they have started to have much more of a mix-mash in bag setups the past 5 years with multi-OEMs seen as club contracts become less inclusive and common than before. But the grip thing _you do_ makes total sense - I to like some different feels of grip between irons and hybrids or fairways.

My most used wedge near greens is my 58, and in one bag the Dritac Mid is perfect for so many finesse touch shots now.....despite the reputation for wear out.

I may keep Dritacs on 58 wedges going forward as the less torquey (sp?) swing doesn't seem like it will burn that thing up.

My guess a big reason guys arent playing them is because they are so soft they offer little feedback.

I can sit on the range without a glove and hit 1,000 balls with Wynn grips and never have to put a glove On. I love the feel. I've been installing grips for 40+ years and have used probably half of the grips out there or tried them from Std to oversize, the wynn oversize is too soft for me 2 hcp, but the wynn std with 1 extra layer of tape (Midsize) is perfect. I am a range rat and can hit balls all day everyday and never get tired of it, there are only a few other grips I've come to like, yes Tour Velvet is good and the other similar Golf pride grips, Lamkin made a beautiful grip 4 years ago can't remember the name C2 or something, like the Tour Velvet but red and blue in color, when I wore those out I tried Wynn for the first time and became a believer.

I like my grips firm.

Midsize weight on Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 White is 57 grams most of the others are 65 grams and the Lamkin crossline Midsize is 58 grams, the Wynn oversize is 49 grams.

Standard grips are approx 50-52 grams and every 6 grams is a swing weight so those of you going from standard size to large size grips need to correct the swing weight.

Main reason I tried the Wynn was because i would not have to change the swing weight going to midsize or even oversize grips, I like mine heavy D4,5 and believe it or not I can tell the difference. 

No one plays them, because as soon as water touches them, they become slick as ice.

I’ve mostly played the Winn DriTac grips for many years due to hand pain. I’ve played them in the Florida summers and Louisiana swampy heat as well as icy winter rounds. 
 

I’ve found them to be plenty tacky in humid and wet conditions. In rain, just towel off and like new tackiness. The very cold days are when I experienced a drop off in tacky grip, not the hot humid days.

They provide the relief my hands need and perform very well. Grips typically last me a full season and that is when I played at least 2 rounds per week plus range time.

I've used them in the past but just not durable. I can't remember a pro using them.
