Tour Boys Cover The Gamut in Anonymous Poll...

Found the loose lips comment on caddies getting a cut from the sponsors on their bibs a little off-putting: No. The money they deserve trickles down to them.

Other than that, not much too revealing.

1 win a year for 10 years or Masters win and that's it? The competitor in me wants to win as much as I can. That might be how they are thinking about it. Not the money or fame.

I wonder what the answers would be if it was 1 win a year for 10 years or 1 Masters win... except the money was the same each year on average (i.e. a few more 2nd places during the 9 non-winning years).

That would probably change the percentages.

I'm pretty sure that the mantra on here has always been that tour pro's crave a Masters win over all else. I was suprised to see that 60% would rather have a win on tour each year for ten years than a green jacket.

If Danny Willet gives up golf from tomorrow he will be remembered for ever, at least once a year if not more often, as the owner of a green jacket. Unlike that bloke currently on tour who has won every year for seemly ever, but whose name I cannot recollect.

I thought that was refreshing. Nice to see that most of the players care about wins more. I think wins are undervalued by the media and fans. Lets see if any of these young punks can catch Phil's 42 pga tour wins.....

Some will most likely. I think Jordan has 9 already and Rory 13 or 14 but then I remember what

happened to Yanni Tseng.......

Yea, Rory had 13 and Dustin 14, leading the young guys. Basically Dustin's exempt into his 50's if he's still Playing, lol

I don't see anyone sticking around long enough or dominating enough to touch Sam's 82-

I hope that You are well?

My Best,

RP

Good stuff Richard. The ball striking selection surprised me. I also like their response to the Trump owned course question. And, the USGA certainly took a hit. Time for those guys to come out of their ivory, wine and cheese tower.

Amen, enough of the hyperventilating crowd. If people had Bios of every owner of some these courses they wouldnt play anywhere. As if anybody would boycott augusta because of the "rich" history of its founders...

The same thing happened with the R&A with the open venues bullying muirfield to have women members even though women have been allowed to play there forever. It doesnt matter if you disagree with his politics, he owns historic venues that will host historic events, thats all that matters. The players see that which is cool to see

"It has to be one of the 17 TPC courses we play right in the middle of the season."

I have played several TPC courses albeit, not in a few years. I wouldn't pay money to play another. It's questionable if I would play many of them again for free.

Interesting sentiment from some players about caddies. Some of the comments say more about those commenting than the caddies they are commenting about.

DJ is quite a bit older than Rory or Jordan but ya just never know. Sam's 82

has a few wins with partners if I'm not mistaken. If Tiger never wins again then

Sam's 82 may be safe forever IMO.

These young guns today are gonna have injuries and likely not long careers

at the top of their game. Jason Day is a good example. We've seen what he

can do when healthy but he can't stay healthy.

None of these young guys are motivated the way Tiger was and I don't see

anyone having a run like he had from '97 to '08. Jordan did it for one season

in '15 and Jason was right there with him. Rory in '14. Dream seasons and

likely career seasons. Either one could do it again. Tiger did it 12 seasons

in a row.

if Tiger doesn't surpass Sam no one will. Too much money in the game and

too many swings that will lead to shortened careers.

I hope you're doing well bro. :)

Interesting that the red headed stepchild of the Majors was ranked as a better Tournament than the US Open.

Not really surprising as one is a birdie fest and one is basically survival. All the pros know whats in store for them that week and not many find it to be fun golf

The survival is typically due to stupid setups. I like US Opens, but the setups can get absurd sometimes.

Meh, its once a year they can handle it. Its suppose to be ridiculous setups. Pars matter more than birdies 90% of the time at US opens.
