Same here, I have a set of mp54s that were my gamers. I thought I was going to do a split set with mp54 3-5 and mp32 6-pw. But I honestly am hitting the 32s as good if not better with the longer irons compared to the 54s. Its only been a couple weeks, so I will see if this trend continues.

I haven’t had that experience. They are certainly not distance irons but the 6 iron has been a 180-185 yard club for me and I’m not the longest hitter in my group. That is only 5 yards off my JPX 900 forged irons I had previously. If that is truly all you’re getting out of them I would not waste the money on them as you will have huge gap issues between irons and fairway woods/hybrid.

What do you hit your current 31° lofted iron? They definitely are weaker lofted than most modern gi irons. Maybe it's a shaft issue? They hit same distance as my mp54s and other player irons I have tested.

Not sure a shaft will gain you 20 yrds. The 32s might just not be a good fit for you. I game dg s300s in both my mizuno iron sets.

Yep probably not a good fit for me. Hard to pass them up since so many people love them and think they are one of the best irons of all time.

Interesting, im torn between my new set being 900t or mp32s ?

So I went and rebut the MP32s one more time. So I was off on my swing soled. It’s more like 82mph with a 6 iron. Distance average was 160 yards. Range was 153 to 173. The irons aren’t in as good as shape as I remember. But there are no wear slot on the face. See pics. men1jd47y0ud.jpeg

I also just (re) bought a very clean set for only $125, so am thrilled with the price. Even more interesting, though, was my range session last night where I was comparing the 8-iron of my current set (JPX 900 Tour with Project X LZ 6.0 shafts) to 8-iron from the MP-32 set (S300). Oddly enough, the MP-32 was providing a more consistent ball flight (trajectory and dispersion), and was carrying 5-7 yards FARTHER than the 900T. Crazy, huh?

One thought is that the 900T are bent 1* upright where the MP-32 is standard lie - I believe that standard lie is a better fit for me as I was having a much easier time finding the middle of the face using the MP-32s. But the other interesting thing is that the 900T loft is 1* strong while MP-32 is standard.

Best I can figure is that the MP-32 are just a better fit for my swing, probably due to the standard (vs. 1* upright) lie. But I plan on doing many comparisons with all of the clubs from each set, and am looking forward to seeing how things compare. Perhaps I go back to MP-32 as my gamers....

> And to the OP...for some reason, your set probably is just not a good fit, but I would try to figure out why. It's probably the shaft, but I'd probably get lofts and lies checked on both sets to make sure you're truly doing an apples-to-apples comparison. Good luck!

I'm the OP, I am happy with my set. No issues, love them. @LowAndLeft32 was having the issues with the 32s.

Sorry...should've checked that more closely. Meant to address that to @LowAndLeft32.

I've had my MP-32s for about 8 weeks. I absolutely love these irons. By far my favorite set ever. My advice to anyone who has never hit these, go pick up a set. Great turf interaction, better than the new mp20 mb, in my opinion. I will have to see if the new mp20s will kick these out of my bag.
