Agreed. High launch, incredibly forgiving. I have to dang near whiff to have unacceptable results.

I had a set of RBZ HP irons and the 5-PW were very easy to hit and were very forgiving with a high launch.

you need to shallow out your angle....you can get away with it on short and mid irons but long irons require shallow and wide....

No problems with MP64 - just decided to stop thinking of it as a "5 iron" & now just consider it another club. Simple mental change has made a huge difference. Has also lead to a lot more use of the 4 iron.

Callaway Razr XF 5 is very forgiving and long. You can get it on callaway's preowned site as a single club.

I just purchased the DHY Pro 27* hybrid and installed an s300 shaft to match my irons. Very forgiving and launches high without ballooning. Carries through the wind nicely.

depends on your swing.. I find if you are too steep, a chunky iron such as a AP1 might not help you as much as you think.. an AP2 5 iron is pretty easy to get up in the air. and plenty long. Cally's Apex are pretty easy to hit but not a great feel (for me anyways)

Titleist TMB 718, Nike Vapor Speed or Pro Combo, Adams DHY, Mizuno EZ Forged or MP18-MMC Fli-Hi or Hot Metal, TaylorMade M5. I wouldn’t necessarily add a much larger head. Most likely not the problem.

And you have to swing like it’s an 8 iron. Lot of players try to muscle up on long irons — adding tension — and it’s all over.

Ping G400 and G410 are exceptionally easy to hit, and can be bought as a single iron.

You see, I’d much rather use my longer irons than my hybrid. Far better dispersion and distance control, as well as stopping power. Even my power spec (22*) 5I stops on a dime from a great height. It goes about 185y carry and I almost wish it’d go a bit lower, but then again I don’t have any trouble in getting any clubs airborne.

it all comes down to how far you hit your 6 iron and what distance you are trying to cover.

easiest I’ve tried was Big Bertha. Big Bertha IronsDon;t discount hybrid. Most 6 hybrid matches 5 iron distance, 6 hybrid is super easy to hit and control.
