Can someone help me with identifying the age of these Slazengers and if they are worth keeping? I can't seem to find this model anywhere online.

I've not seen that model here in the UK before, are you based in Australia, New Zealand or Canada?  Slightly different clubs were produced there compared to the UK and I suspect that yours might be one of those.

The closest I've seen in the UK is the Slazenger Plus International from about 1974, as featured in this YouTube video together with a look at other UK offerings.

They're definitely worth keeping.

It appears to be an old Ping Anser from c.1967 from all the digging I did with help from old posts on WRX.  33" long shaft with what looks like an original grip too.  Got some patina on this pup!  Quite a change from my Scotty Cameron GoLo 5 in the other bag.  Soon as I get enough posts here, the sig will get populated with the stuff in the gear closet.

In the spirit of sharing classical information, thought it would be appropriate to add this here.  If anyone remembers the eBay Ping irons Buyers Guide Q & A, the following was composed by that individual.  Mark Conners.  He dropped this in the OSP FB group a year or so back.   Full credit to him, all I did was copy and paste.  Lots of good information contained within about Ping putters and irons, with some parsing through the compositions.  Whether OSP (Old School Pings) are sufficiently classic may be a debatable point.  IMHO, they are.  Golf implements that are 50+ years old qualify.  And I have a fascination with learning about them and playing them.

The Macs have me puzzled. Never have seen the MT logo in that form. The irons appear to be the same as the Macgregor Tour ones which was a department store offering. But then the By Macgregor script is the same they put on the 80s reproduction VIPs like the ones I play. This has me totally confused.

The Sneeds are the oldest. '60's I believe. The others are '70s and '80s..

1962-1963 Spalding Executive Top Flite.  2-pw came to me with a vintage bag from an antique dealer that thought they were damaged due to strange wear spots on some of the faces.  The second pitching wedge which appears to be the same year but entirely different design along with the sand iron came separately.  Regripped 2-pw.  Now is the weather would just warm up!

Either that or he was terrified of hitting one!

Its the copper undercoating.  I think it's more some sort of storage in a bag wear than play wear.

Strange. Definitely not from play. Perhaps some sort of rubbing and vibration over a period of time. Just a guess.

They had the original dried out rubber grips.  I figured with that strange wear they will never be wall hanger quality.  So I  regripped em and hope they play well.  Because they are pretty clean and unused.   Hopefully they have a lot of life left in them.

I like the angled scoring lines. Seems like it would frame the ball well.

Latest stuff arrived today from NY.  Pieced together a full set of Acushnet AC-108s irons and laminate woods because I had a set back in the late '70s and loved their playability and appearance.  Woods are decent, but need grips badly.  I may try to refinish them myself if I can locate some Titleist logo decals for the tops of the heads.  Irons are perfect playable condition.  Grooves and faces are sharp and clean.  Scavenged up a SW that only needs a matching grip.  Had one empty bag left to throw them in, an old Odyssey stand bag.

I’m skiing this weekend, but I think I have a few Titleist decals at home. I could send you a scan and the name of a good decal guy and you can have a set made for about $15. I’ve used him and they look good.

I couldn't resist adding to my Japanese persimmons. I picked up this Maruman Conductor and I'm really happy with it. I've liked all the Japanese clubs I've found and this is no exception. The head is very similar to a Honma M-43, just slightly deeper.

For the first time in at least a year I dropped in at a local thrift store and surprisingly found two persimmons.  At $2.99 each how could I say no?  They're nothing fancy or of any real value but being my first acquisitions in many moons I'm rather excited about them.  The grips are toast, the shafts grimey, and the heads are dented and have some kind of mottled extra finish poorly applied but they seem solid and I like them.  I'm going to clean them up the best I can and give them a quickie spray before giving them a swing. 

I love old golf clubs.  I know they are inanimate objects but I feel like I'm giving something back to them by getting them back in play.  I feel like they're thanking me for that one more opportunity to nail one like they did back in the day.  Yeah I know, sentimental and corny but still...  it makes me happy.  😄

If they became players for me I would tape off and use spray poly on them to seal but keep the dings in them. Dings add character if you ask me. Also I have always loved red inserts. For me I guess they fit my eye and draw attention to the Bullseye I am SUPPOSED to hit

I just picked this up;

 

Took it out to play 9 last night and it is a great driver.   Higher trajectory than the Macgregors I have...probably due to the graphite shaft.  I hit it 6 times, and hit 5 fairways.  I really like the sound and feel...very solid, not soft, but FIRM...not a crack but a deep THUNK and the ball just goes.

1962 VFQ Tommy Armour 2-9 and 1962 Tommy Armour AT2W woods. 

Matching leather grips which I had just treated and seeing them lined up and drying I thought would make a good picture.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking.  Tape them off and spray poly.  That way the decals remain intact too.  The scratches and dent don't bother me either - I too like a bit of character.  Sometimes the full treatment is in order but if they're already solid and not particularly collectable then I don't bother.

Nice Key Hole Macs and the irons are good too--- VFQ= Very Fine Quality which they were then and are now---- BTW love the vintage Fender Amps
