Just curious to see what everyone's thoughts are. The pro blades being chrome got dinged up easily and really showed a lot of bag chatter. I wonder if these with satin finish and pvd muscle will hold up better? I'm hoping so since I used club covers for a few months but hated using them since I felt like an idiot.

Just went to the shop where I ordered my Vapor Pro Combo. I should be getting it on Halloween. 10-31.

I'll know next week for sure if they do ship out then.

You are not alone my friend, I ordered Vapor pro PW-8, and pro combo 7-4 today. I went and had a fitting and loved the dg pro x100. I have hated the fell of x100 in the past but loved my ctapers. I would say dg pro has similar flight characteristic to the x100 but with fantastic feel, seemed like a nice mix between a ctaper and x100.

I ended up ordering mine +1 inch, 2 degrees upright and 1 degree strong in the pros to match the pro combos. I also decided to go with DG PRO x100 hard stepped once, my fitter said that would be the best. When ordering online make sure you look at the lengths. The vapors 6 iron stock was the same length as my +1 inch mizzy MP54.

Not yet. My stock iron sets are in process. My demo iron sets are not. (as of yesterday at lunch time)

I'm still trying to figure out the demo product this year. And now I'm more confused by the Oven 2 trip.

Do you mean the Driver or irons? I can give you an iron review, but the drivers are not released yet to test and give feedback. I have seen them, but can't take them out. Probably looking around January before you see a lot of feedback (aside from those invited to hit them).

When I ordered mine it was not recommended to mix in the Speeds for the longer irons, said they were bigger than the CF irons and would not blend well. At least that is what I was told, I was going to get the 3/4 in the Speed.

Yeah. That's probably the best idea. I ordered mine from DD's and Adam recommended not blending the Speed and PCs, he said the heads were much larger. I told him I had the CF irons and said I wasn't a fan of the long irons, he told me if that was the case then I would not like the Speed long irons. Just passing along the info I got.

From what I have seen and hit, the Speed long irons look more like a 712u-ish shape. For me, I play the 712u in my 3 and 2 irons so it was perfect and they performed amazingly well. The PC's have a much thicker top line than last year's model so I think it would "blend" okay.. I don't care as much about how my set blends in the top part of my bag, I care more about the transition from say a 8 iron in a blade to a 7 iron in a PC. Long irons you should be fine, and the performance of the Speed irons really stood out to me.

From what I have seen and hit, the Speed long irons look more like a 712u-ish shape. For me, I play the 712u in my 3 and 2 irons so it was perfect and they performed amazingly well. I think I got caught up in people saying that the offset was the same.....not overall head size.....so blending due to offset was supposedly easy......but as someone who has seen them in person, Adam from DD, that should be a stronger argument not to blend.
