Had all summer to sort out de gea and di Maria, had no euros and world cup too! I'm hoping what I heard is that he's staying but no one seems to know whats going on I also heard that the Pedro deal is pretty close but honestly everything is kinda hush hush, as you say you can't believe anything until the chap is standing on the pitch in a United shirt

Solid performance, nothing really fast but a good win! 6 points but rooney is a concern, was awful I mean woeful! Will get better but the rooney of old is a distant memory these days......but a decent start for once

Today is confirmation that we're not strong enough right now to win the league again. Mourinho maybe wasn't spot on with the team selection and tactics but I don't think it really mattered. City was better the entire game and their squad looks pretty strong at the moment. There is still time in this transfer window and I hope Jose realizes that the squad needs to be strengthened. It seems like Pedro is available and I'd love to add a quality left back since Ivanovic has proven again that he cannot defend. I may be overreacting to a couple of poor performances, but I think it is clear the team needs strengthening despite us being only two games into the season.

City looking dangerous, Aguero must have had 3 great attempts at goal in like 5 minutes, that score line could have been way more. United were so scrappy in that second half I'm sadly not convinced as yet especially after watching City play, United need to pick up their game.

Last night was the 1st time in ages that I've really enjoyed watching United, played some very good stuff. But OLd Trafford under the lights at night is special, the atmosphere is just miles better.......hopefully qualification is done next week with a dull 0-0

Late to the party of this thread. Have depay on my fantasy team. Story of my life is guys going off in cup games and then doing nothing in the EPL. Off to a good start this year haha. Still believe in him.

If you get the chance to go to st james park you'll love it, it's a great away day as the stadium is right in the middle of the city.......also Newcastle is a cracking and lively city, one of the best night life's in the UK!

Missed the United game unfortunately but reading about it sounded dull... The Chelsea v West Brom game on the other hand was exciting! was really pulling for West Brom and I reckon they should have at least gotten a draw out of that game... ROUGH start for most of the historically good managers. I was top 5k most of last season until the last week and finished around 7k. Everyone who''s done some catching up already has already played their wildcard after GW2. I'm playing mine this week, way behind on points and team value.

Don't see why everyone is saying this is good for United. Now they have a disgruntled keeper who might not play, they missed out on a great deal for Navas and a bunch of money, and now they have to let him go for free next year

It's not a great deal but real fooked up, tried to bully United into a lower price with a few hours remaining. Sick of real just nicking our players using marca to tap up the players. For once United stood firm. But he will play as he has to with the euros in the summer, plus if real wanted him that badly like roonie, Rudy, Beckham they would have paid the money way back in June. So United have a good few months using that line and may sign a contract. But he may go in Jan, next summer or he might stay at United, but one thing is that navas wouldn't have been any better what we've got now. The one we're all hoping for is Johnstone, he is going to be top notch but needs a few years yet........overall I'm just laughing a that arrogant prat perez!

Well said, about a month ago I changed my tune about the de Gea deal and hoped United would stand firm. In the end United made the right choice, like mentioned above he'll need the match fitness to be chosen for 2016 Spain squad and will swallow his pride and finish his contract
