Worst driver you've ever owned or hit

Adams speedline from like....2007. Had the neck snap and head fly off twice. Never experienced that with any other driver. Last adams club i buy.

Worst I have owned: Cobra S9-1, not the pro model. Never felt right. Worst I have ever hit: Nike Sump SQ. Thing sounded and felt awful.

I cant remember the model but it was a Mizuno that had, I wanna say a sparkly blue crown on it. This was circa 2002'ish so it was maybe 300 cc's. So bad! Had a UST pro force 65 that I had put in it, and I still couldn't hit that POS. Next would be the c4, it looked awesome though. And then I would say the Callaway warbird, I couldn't square that face to save my life.

Square headed callaway. Played one round with it as a demo, good day so I bought it.
Never had another good round with it after that. Probably more Indian than arrow, but man it just went to poop after that one round.

I think that's the Mizuno T Zoid. That was my first ever "big name" driver and I loved it haha! I was also only 14 or so at the time I had it so I just thought it was awesome to not have a driver that came with my set, it very well could have been a pos thinking back lol.

5* SMT long drive driver. I forget the model name but it had a bore thru head, and by the time I got the shaft trimmed from 50" down to about 47" where it was usable it must have played at about 5x stiff. Never could hit it any farther than a normal driver and it sounded/felt horrendous.

I am late to this game but a club that did not perform for me at all is the 2014 PING Rapture 3 wood which I tried numerous shafts during a fitting and it was horrible. Even my fitter tried it and we had to call PING to confirm the serial number was legit. It was a legit serial number but just appeared to be absolutely dead. My Stage 2 Tour Spoon was night and day better then this thing. Not sure if it was one bad head or if anyone else had this similar output from this very expensive club.

Built it with one of Maltby's shafts, can't remember which one of the same generation. Went to play with 3 friends and hit it on the 1st 4 holes. :bad:

 

Let one of my friends hit on 5...6...7...8 and continued on. Had it sold for what I had in it my #15. :yahoo: That was in '04 I believe. He still has it. Just felt HORRIBLE to me, but he loved it. Just goes to show you how different we are as does some of the posts in this thread. I see several drivers posted here that were damn good to myself and many others.

The new and improved version of the Cleveland 460 Launcher was a stinker for me. I think it was the 2007 version. It looked like they'd smashed a normal launcher with a sledge hammer, and welded it back together. I could hit some decent drives with it, occasionally, but I couldn't look at the club at address, and not think it looked like a circus clowns club. Gave it away to a guy whose kid broke the shaft in it a couple weeks later. ........Another club that creeped me out at address was the TM Burner that looked like a slice of pie. Just setting up with it, and waggling in the store was enough to convince me not to buy it. I guess I can't hit a club I don't like the looks of.

Bang Dark Matter 400. Black, cryro-treated, low flying head. Beautiful for its time.
Could manage a fade if I really concentrated, a low slice otherwise. So loud my right ear would be ringing 30 min. after a round.
Again, beautiful head and really wanted to like it, but it wasn't for me.

Callaway Diablo. Tried to make it work. Was lite weight but every time I hit it, it sounded as if I was hitting empty soda can. And for a 9.5 degree/stiff shaft, it launched very high.

Adams XTD Pro... Not quite a square, but not quite traditional shaped either, couldn't hit a drive to save my life with that. Im a big Cleveland/Srixon guy, but hated the Hi Bore Monster and the TL 310 (and i game the classic 310 currently)

You talking about this one?? It's STILL my backup driver with an Aldila NV-65 x in it. Couldn't unseat it for distance or control until getting the Callaway RFE. Did me good at Pinehurst #2 ... but it is barely larger than most 3 woods of today so it rests for special occasions.

Has something to do with something besides the actual head I'd say. Look at what you're hitting now. It's one of the best feeling heads I hit in 2014 and it didn't happen until the end of the year.
