If the US release date is November 3, can somebody tell why the 850 woods / hybrids are not up on the Miz website and my shop doesn't have a demo yet?

BUT

With a supposed release date of November 15, Titleist has the whole 915 line up on their site and my shop has a whole bunch of demo heads.
I believe November is a limited US release and February 2015 is when it'll hit stores and Mizuno accounts.

From what I read, only 500 drivers will be offered next month. Well, make that 499 because I'm ordering one. Full release in February 2015.
Make it 498, I just preorder one as well! I can not wait to try this bad boy out!

After 3 rounds with the driver and 4h. The performance is there but the feel of the driver is nowhere near MP600, maybe that is why it is a JPX.

Stock Asian spec Orochi 40grams.

It's a demo so its wrong for me but if anything the lighter weight and softer flex should improve feel, but it just sounds more like a RBZ Stage 2 than a Miz.

The 850 with the Fuji TS is a totally different animal. No comparison.

I'm not sure how my store got them, but when I went in today to demo the 915s, the owner brought the 850 Driver with Motore Tour Spec Stiff Shaft. (same kind that I have in my G30 and had in my I25). Needless to say this is one awesome and fantastic looking driver. Love the blue. Love the size. Feel is an 8 out 10 but much better than G30. On top of the "new awesome factor" 850 out monitor-performed both my current G30 (same shaft) and the Demo 915 D2.

I walked out with it and no longer have a G30.

850 is legit and this sounds silly but it has that "exciting Im going to crush this" factor that the G30 just didnt have.

My local store got 2 in this week. Both sold the first day. Mizuno rep told him to hurry and order his limit of 12 more because all the places they had given two to were selling them quickly. Rep said they will go through the first 500 limited release quickly.

Wow this driver is awesome. First round with it and I am still in love. Feel is not an 8 of 10. Its a 9 out of 10. I havent even tinkered with any of the settings yet but its my favorite driver in a loooooooonnnng time. Pun Intended. I have had every driver out over the last few years and this might be the one. I love Mizuno but havent had a Mizuno driver last more than a few weeks. I assumed I would hit this for a few weeks and then get the 915 D3 but not so sure.

They absolutely nailed the color, size, and shaft. Mine listed at $399.00 with the Motore Speeder Shaft.

This may be the Driver all Mizuno fans have been waiting for. I am excited about the hybrids.

I got a hold of the local Mizuno dealer that is going to carry them.He said November 5th or 7th...I wish that it was sooner, because we may have snow on the ground by then. ...

Though I like my jpx800 wood a lot, I still want to test it before I invest my money. Different from what guys here saying, the golfsmith around chicago carried jpx800 wood a few years ago. I tested it there and absolutely fell in love with it and got one... I'll check out the stores around thanksgiving when I'm hitting the big cities!

I have a question for those who already got 850 wood. From the EU site, it says the 3wood is 43.25 long. Is it true? their 800, 825, and EZ lines are 42.75. Hoping they stay with the length...

I think if you google, there are a few online retailers already taking orders. I have a local shop here in Columbus that I got my JPX 850 cast irons from that has already sent an email saying they are taking pre-orders for the woods and hybrids. I should check with them to see if they'll have a demo club I can hit. I'm a lefty and I'm interested in trying them out but I'm sure it will be harder for me to find a demo club to try.

I texted with my shop last night after reading ZPrime's posts and he spoke with Mizuno earlier yesterday about clubs on order and they said the woods will ship either later this week or early next. They pushed up the original release date to early Nov. given the demand. Custom orders get priority. Our Rep has had them for a while now and let me take them out for a few rounds. I am going out of town next Thurs for a week so hopefully it shows up before.

Is that not a standard price for that shaft when not a standard option? It is a lot especially when it is stock here in the US but I also think that is for marketing. Europe people will buy them but sales in the usa for their woods have been horrible so maybe thinking that offering this shaft in the states will help that?
This kind of upcharge is o.k for an exotic shaft. I paid an extra 220€ two years ago for a AD-BB in my 913D2. But it's obviously a bit confusing for Europeans to pay 250 extra, when you guys get the shaft for free. Mizuno has always had pretty different marketing strategies depending on different countries.
I'm not averse to paying the extra for the Speeder 6.3TS, but not if it's a stock option in the US. It means we'd be paying £200 more for the same club? I'd rather just get the Driver shipped over from the US. That would put the overall cost of the Driver with the Speeder in at c. £500 ($800) over here!! No thanks, just get one from the US shipped over, and save a shed load of $$$$

I hear ya. Makes sense haha. Would want to do that myself if it was stock elsewhere. Especially because you will be able to get it off of eBay or an online retailer for the same price as us with it anyhow.

Forever Changing at this point.......

In Australia, the stock shaft is the Orochi with the Speeder being an upgrade. Speaking to a Mizuno rep in Australia, the upcharge on the Speeder was only going to be $50-, so that people didn't just buy from overseas and the local stockists in Australia were looked after.

They may do something similar in other countries where the Orochi is the stock shaft.

i know this is a great driver, but can it compete with the likes of the 915, big berthas, G30 etc, maybe it will in performance but not in sales, it will fit into its niche along with the lesser sellers such as Cobra, Wilson, Tour Edge, Srixon etc.....shame as its a great driver and does deserve to be a big seller due to its performance judging by early tests.

Wow I can see that how unpopular mizuno's drivers and woods are. You don't even see the new products on their first US homepage.

Anyway these are specs (US ones)

Driver Fujikura Motore Club # 9.5 LH YES Loftº 9.5º STD Lieº 60º Off Set D3 STD Face Angle Square Length " 45.0"
Fairway wood Fujikura Motore Club # 15.0 18.0 21.0 LH YES YES N/A Loftº 15º 18º 21º STD Lieº 57.5º 58.0º 58.5º Off Set D3 D3 D3 STD Face Angle Square Square Square Length " 43.25" 42.75" 42.25"
Hybrid Fujikura Motore Club # 2 3 4 5 LH N/A YES YES N/A Loftº 16º 19º 22º 25º STD Lieº 59.5º 60.0º 60.5º 61.0º Off Set D3 D3 D3 D3 STD Face Angle Slightly Open Square Square Square Length " 41.5" 40.75" 40.0" 39.25"

Knowing that 3 wood is .5 inch longer than their former versions, it turns me off a bit. I might be quite interested in their driver...
