Great thread. The new hybrid (?) cover looks cool. I definitely think the black Cordura would keep complement the tartans. Will be following to see how events unfold...

i have purchased several of these, i own a couple for myself and last year me and 3 buddies went on a golf trip to scotland so i got them all a headcover for the trip. all very good looking covers. i also own 2 of the ball repair tools which are very nice as well.

Anyone have experience with the hybrid covers? I love my driver and wood ones...but the dogleg shape doesn't look like it would stay on very well.

I have a hybrid headcover and love it. When I first got it, I thought it would certainly fall off. It hasn't once. I've actually learned to love the shape, it is slimmer and takes of less room than the barrel style.

I'll post pics of mine soon. I have both of my family's clan tartans for 3 wood and hybrid and a few others that I've picked up from their periodic "headcover roulette" sales. I've put them through the ringer for over a year now and they keep on ticking. Even after getting caught in a freak rainstorm, they did well with a dryer sheet and low heat tumble dry.

Seamus headcovers are awesome! I've ordered a bunch of them. The driver is the "Gunn Muted" tartan as my lady is from the Gunn clan. They are a perfect with the simplicity of the Jones players series #001 bag.

 

How do you like the Jones bags? I'm considering picking one up for next season, when I'll be walking 95% of the time.

I think it looks really good with my other tartan and the rest of the bag.

Your Seamus HC look great! OP, do you know if Seamus will bring a tartan in, if you request one different from those on the website? My daughter is a highland dancer, so I was looking at some other tartans for my bag.

I think the headcovers are very well made and I like the company's accessories (vintage ball markers are cool).

However, I wish they would let us know the story or history of some of the tartans/plaids/etc. Without knowing the story/history behind some of these designs, some of them look sort of ugly/arbitrary.

I have received a number of these head covers as corporate gifts which have been a good way to learn about the company. At $55-$75 per head cover, without some story behind the plaids/tartans, I am not sure these would be something I would spend my own money on.

Golf clubs or tournaments that have their own pattern/design associated with them are easy places to start.

The tartans are The official tartans of the Scottish clans. And Irish counties too.

If a person does an Internet search on the tartan they will have a BUNCH to read about.

I suppose Seamus could put a brief Twitter-ish description but Google does wonders.

Some of the tartans and plaid are pretty awful looking, so only an interesting story or history would make them interesting.

At the prices they are charging, they should have the ability to give us some background...

Also these head covers get pretty soggy in the rain....perhaps a goretex lining?
