Got my B1-05 Long Neck Origin yesterday. Thanks cvhookem! Love this so much better than the 05 Method Matter. Didn't get an Oven putter cover but I like my own one better. I edited out the "u" in the pic to keep it kosher.

Just used the code to pick up an Oven Origin cover to go with my proto Origin B2/07 putter.

Yeah mine were pretty loose and made the head rattle when moved around. I just tightened them up a little and it fixed it.

I just used my finger. Manually twisted in a circle until it wouldn't turn anymore.

Took my new Vapor fly 5 wood out for maiden voyage today....pleasantly surprised! Nice high flight and longer than my Cobra king F6 I had set to a 4 wood!

Do any of y'all still own or game a VR Pro Limited fairway wood? I just can't find a fairway wood I like. I have an M2 and it's solid club but I just don't like the feel. It feels to hollow to me.

 

I remember back in the day demoing the VR Pro Limited 3 wood and loving how solid and pure it felt. Anyone who games/gamed one care to share their thoughts on them?

 

I game the Driver, 3, and 5 VR Pro Limiteds and yes your memories are spot on. I too demoed them back in the day and on a whim bought them used (9.5 out of 10 condition) on 2nd swing last year. Have fallen in love with both. If you stick with the stock shaft go with the Diamana Ahina' shaft over the kuro kage. You have my vote, good luck!

Picked up a dual sole 60 to play around with in my shop. This is what I ended up with. Let me know what you all think.

 

Last pic posted was taken before I added the white paint fill to match the shaft.

Yeah i torched it. However I first sandblasted it then hit it with 180,220,350,600,1200 sand paper bringing it to a shiny finish. Then using several different spiral sewn buffing wheels attached to a bench grinder I applied jewelers rouge, (black Emory, Tripoli, and then white) polishing it to a mirror finish. Then the trick is to carefully degrease it being careful to not get any finger prints on it or else the oils in your skin will leave a residue after torching. Basically, degrease, degrease, and degrease some more. Then lastly apply the heat.

 

I perfected this by practice practice practice, so don't expect it to look like this your first time. Just if you don't like the final result hit with the sand paper again which will erase for lack of a better word the color from the heat. Don't get discouraged, just keep at it and have fun learning from your previous mistakes.
