Why does everyone ask you for a link? Where are all the blade lovers side by side trackman data with cavity backs to prove their points? Right, they also don't have any.
Because Trackman will never trump on course play......EVER
But it will deliver the truth, which you all have such a difficult time doing.

I'm sorry Exactice. I like you, and your posts, but as a 12 or whatever you are, are you really suggesting that your on course experience is more relevant to whether or not it's easier to play a blade than the most advanced technology we have to measure ball striking in the industry today?
Trackman is a tool used to analyze swing, equipment, ball flight etc but has nothing to do with scoring.

I come to these forums to ignore crap about engineering, which includes DOE's. Let me ignore work and say stupid stuff on forums like how I think a 26 index should play MB's!!!! :)

NO NO absolutely not.... I am not saying this.... What I am saying is for whatever reason some people regardless of the handicap can ply better with X clubs than X clubs no matter how much technology or manufactures or Trackman can say.

The only definitive way to say so is to take it to the course and play and let the scores do the talking not what a machine that calculates what the shot could do.

Granted it is a tool just like working the ball so its up to you to use it! I get it so you dont need work ability I get it...... there is nothing wrong with that! While I have never used a trackman, dont have access to a trackman nor do I have the funds to get one myself, so I dont think I will ever use a trackman!

Perfect once or twice a year? really??

9/10 Acceptable shots.... 9 out of 10 Acceptable shots.... NINE of TEN Acceptable shots NINE times out of TEN Times I will swing my Irons and the ball will go in the area and in the way I anticipated it would go, I will not hole out or stick the pin to 2 ft, but I will be putting or giving myself another chance with a putter or a wedge.....

How much more do I need to spell out that no I do not pure it everytime but my shots are playable and not chunks, fats, thins, shanks, hooks.. they go....

Im going to hate myself as another member got flamed, but I will do a Go Pro video un cut of consecutive swings with different clubs and let you be the judge of where i hit the ball...

actually wait....

here is a video from 6 months ago.... prior to my game improving and you can see the ball flight.....all shots in respectable distance and direction no where near shanks skanks, fats, chunks bumps whatever you wanna call it...

https://www.youtube....h?v=f0X8yBKI6GI

ok flame suit on as I am sure I will get torn apart but whatevers if you feel that my ball striking is terrible well...... I wonder what good ball striking really is?

Seems to be misunderstood by some
Well, not by me. Flush shots are incredibly rare given how I play and how often I play.
Wasn't singling you out just used your post to relay a point.
Don't worry I wasn't offended.

On another note, I think one important thing to mention in this thread is how a scratch golfer perceives a 10 or so cap, and how a 10 or so cap perceives a 20+.

In general, a legit 10 cap is better than the overwhelming majority of the golfing population. They will think they are solid ballstrikers, because honestly they're probably better than a lot of people who do play.

Therefore, it's really odd when a scratch or someone says their ballstriking isn't that good, because they're probably used to seeing that it's better than a lot of people.

However, if a 25 capper told a 10 capper that they were able to work a set of X irons better, the 10 capper would probably wonder about it too. It's kind of all relative.

Exactice, just watched your video. Flight seems absolutely fine from what I can tell. I can't say if it would be better or worse with anything else. Is that about a 7 iron or so? Seems fine to me.

You'd be surprised how often I do not hit it pure based on most of the comments I make, but there are times I feel like I am just slapping it around the course.

Thanks Nine & Govel.... Yups 7 iron out the 150 marker..... Flight was fine and consistent no blading or chunking or toes or heels.....and can you imagine that was 6 months ago so would it assume to say I have gotten better with more play and practice time?

Again....Not all 12's are terrible ball strikers..... yes not pure but acceptable playable shots. I would say with in a 20ft circle..........and that is being generous as isnt the Pro average like 30ft or something?

I think the best putting advice ever is to just keep your head down after you make the stroke, especially on short putts.

That, and don't worry about the result.

Exactice I can't quote that post for some reason, but in the post with the manufacturers copy that you've bolded...

Skilled players, elite players, shotmakers... No offense, but do you think that's applicable to a 12 handicap? I know you don't think that part is applicable.
AHHHHH. just being an @$$hole here... but skilled / elite is very much self evaluated.....

I do think I am a skilled player.... not elite... but skilled.... I am a shot maker, as I am able to do certain shots.....

I play with an 8 handicap, he is a 1 way player.... low hooded bump and runs all day and he is an 8. He is the best damn 8 I know of with a one way shot. But he has to avoid certain course and sandtraps or he is screwed. I dont want to be a 1 way player were I have to avoid X course and bunkers because I cant score......

but yes yes... it is marked for the "Better" Players.... but a scratch pretty much had to be a 12 when they started and progressively got better... Now I will say if I got Stuck here for the next 3 years... I think I would quit.... but I think I will still be getting progressively better. I hope to reach singles by the end of the year....

No offense, you are not yet skilled, or a shotmaker. You could be though. Here's some wild news. 95% of the pros I have ever seen/who have been my peers/you watch on tv/ have a one way shot. I do too.

None of these guys are working shots unless it is to go around an obstacle. It doesn't mean they can't, it just means they realize it doesn't help their score. In fact it hurts it. If it helped, they would move it both ways.
