No, on second thought, I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

I live in Vancouver, yeah the rain isn't great and is a part of living here but I have found that this year we had a pretty mild winter so I'm not complaining there. Hopefully it sunnies up soon but who knows.

I don't know if you are just trying to stir things up, (if so, I know you are new on GolfWRX, but I don't recommend that, it can backfire real quickly), or if you just moved here ....

and I don't like discouraging new members to post, but ......huh?

It's only April 4, it's supposed to be dry after today all through the week up to 16* at the airport, probably higher where you live. The west coast is the only place in Canada to play golf all year, at least you can golf all year if you don't mind some rain and cool temps many years. This year has been a very mild one and some guys I know played all year.

And not just golf... I've been walking around without a jacket many times the last couple of months.

I'm more of a fair weather golfer though these days and I agree it can be a wet Spring sometimes.

But still..... huh? Look at some of the threads about the awful weather this year from our neighbours back East and some posts on here from locals about recent Vancouver rounds and the envious posts from readers out East.

I can't remember a time that I have been able to play as much golf over the winter and spring as this year. It has been beautiful and warm plenty of times as Spin above points out.

As far as I am concerned it has been fantastic so far. I just hope our spring is as good.

Hey, hopefully we will get a chance to get out later this year.

Jeeze, it has been in April but Vancouver is still raining... Do we have members from great Vancouver area who has some opinions about the weather here?

This winter has been fantastic.

I belong to the Vancouver Golf Club which is located in Coquitlam and we were able play thru most of the winter.

[/quote]I was just hoping to see the sun quickly and put my bag on for golf, thats all. I know living in raincouver will see wet winter or wet spring. as you said west coast is the only place in Canada that can golf all the year round. I am lucky so I am happy. Just wish, a kind, beautiful wish, wish we have more sunshine in Vancouver in winter and early spring. I love Vancouver, love golfing here

We went to Whistler for spring break skiing, flew into Vancouver, and drove from there. What a beautiful city you have there. I would love to come back and spend more time there.

Yeah sorry about the snow this year. It has been a very warm and relatively dry winter so the snow has not been very good. I was up at Whistler skiing in February and it was the worst conditions in at least 10 years.

Hope you come back up for another try cause the snow is usually a lot better.

It has been a fantastic winter for golf in Vancouver. Best in the few years I've been here by far.

If you are new to the lower mainland I recommend investing in high quality raingear. That way you can golf rain or shine without complaint.
