For drives and approaches, that seems like a sound idea. Even if you primarily use traj to control the roll-out of your greenside shots, I think you'd find a loss of performance switching away from a urethane cover ball, though. Wedge shots into greens would probably also be effected.

You're wrong. If you don't like it, you can go pound SpeedFoam.

File under "steering into the skid".

In advance of my trip to Kohler/Erin in 3 weeks, I've been spending a lot of time at the range trying to find a playable tee ball. Haven't had much luck.

Finally decided last night to hit 25 drivers, with the objective of not letting a single one go left. After the first 5, I went 18 for 20, but 4 or 5 were huge 50 yard cuts. Out of the next 20, went 18 again (and the two pulls would have been playable), but only 2 were big bananas.

I'm going to give it a whirl on the course tomorrow.

Never had this happen before, just riding along to see the course now. Got them TW spasms it seems.

I suggest a trip to Perkins to cure what ails ya.

(I am always in for a Perkins joke)

I always kinda felt bad for Tiger's private chef when I heard that he went to Perkins.

Chef: "Morning sir! Shall I whip up some Eggs Benedict in a light hollandaise sauce with homemade lactose free buttermilk biscuits made from scratch?"

Tiger: "Nah. Taken Elin to Perkins today for scrambled eggs."

Chef: "Perkins sir? The one by the truck stop on I-4?"

Tiger: "That's the one"

Chef (near suicidial) "Very good sir."

Chief fire your right knee into your left knee at the start of the down swing. Impossible to hit the ball left if you do this.

BM Recap.

So, I went out to Blue Mash by myself (big loser, no friends, etc...sully is cooler than me) to see how I would fare playing the tips (signed up for Championship flight and give some love to the golf board.

I will say, I enjoy the tips more than the reds. Conditions are looking great for them just punching a few weeks ago. Only saw a couple of greens that weren't completely healed. The tips are very doable and wasn't overly hard. I had a couple of flairs on my back, which the longer distance cost me. as well as the rough. I have yet to figure out how to hit out of the rough properly.. I have tired a few things and FAIL.

I started on #10 and started with a sloppy bogey.. mind wasn't in it .. graming, boarding, and grinting.. no wings were thought of though ;)

Then lost a ball on the par 3 that should of been in the bunker on the left but didn't see it due to the sun.. so no clue! Hate stupid strokes like that. 39

After that the game was tight until I realized it was tight.. a couple of flairs and rough problems!

I limped in on the back with some rookie mistakes ( should of putted on the fringe (chunky monkey) .. i admit it City on this hole. A few missed birdies and another flair that cost me.. lost ball. 42

Other than that I played pretty good and like where my game is right now. Shot a 81 and handicap was trending at a 5.8 but jump back to 6.3. My goal at the beginning of the season to finish under 7.. its looking good but we shall see.

Golf board.. tons of fun and so enjoyable. Have to commit to turns but something I could adjust for if i ever do it again. WOULD BANG AGAIN!

Afterwards.. BLT with a couple of Shandys on tap... not a bad way to end the round!

I'm terrible at posting my scores as I play. I always enter after. I should really be a better superfriend and work on that. Probably not, though.

Kids sick and other crap to get done so I'll recap more tomorrow.

Cliff notes - I'm working on my swing, and it's promising. I was like a blind person on the greens today. City started well, and gave a few back towards the end. Overall another solid score by him, though.

I was gonna boo cause I saw you were +9 after 9, but looks like you turned it around after that to post a solid back.

Sounds like you need a Hivemind Approved Taylormade Spider Tour Dustin Johnston Edition. All the cool kids, except Dustin Johnson, are playing it. Even I banged in 28 putts at Bethpage. In 18 holes, not 9. Hadn't gone sub-30 in probably 2 years before that.
